About The Revels

The Revels is made up of two lovely holiday homes both surrounded by countryside. Ideal for long country walks or trips into Canterbury, or to the coastal town of Whitstable.

Revel Stable is comfortably furnished with a log effect wood burning stove in the dining room. The interior is light and airy, and at the same time super-cosy. Cook, eat and relax in the lounge and dining room and make the most of the outside space on sunny days. This is a lovely rural retreat for both summer and winter breaks.

Revel Barn has an open plan sitting room and kitchen with the added benefit of a wood burning stove for cosy winter days, and French doors onto a decked patio for warm summer days. The decked patio overlooks a large shared garden which the owner describes as the size of a football pitch - and is ideal for children to play in! Three bedrooms upstairs provide comfortable accommodation for two couples or a family, with one master bedroom, leading to a twin room, and a further twin room.

This rural retreat is located in the small village of Chestfield which is just a 10 minute drive to Whitstable and a 15 minute drive to the historic City of Canterbury, so is perfect for enjoying these two exciting locations whilst returning to the quiet countryside. Chestfield has a large supermarket for essential self catering supplies, as well as a popular local public house, The Chestfield Barn. Further supplies can be purchased from the independent greengrocers in Whitstable as well as the fabulous farmers market and of course, the iconic fish markets in the harbour.

What makes this area
So special...

Chestfield is best known for its golf course and pretty countryside, and The Chestfield Barn, an historic 14th Century bar and restaurant which is a short drive away. Further afield are the vibrant fishing town of Whitstable, famous for its oysters and seafood, and the medieval Cathedral City of Canterbury full of history and culture, and great for shopping too.
