About The Lookerer

In a private field lined with reeds, you are greeted by sheep grazing on the doorstep. Fully insulated and finished with style, The Lookerer offers a full-size double bed, cute little log burner and en-suite shower room. This is a cosy and comfortable cabin to explore the beautiful open skies and scenery of Romney Marsh, or to cosy up and have a romantic and rustic weekend away.

A small but perfectly formed kitchen, under-bed storage and mains plug sockets offer a fantastic range of practicalities. A table set in front of the French doors makes the most of the stunning panoramic views, and outside, the hut take the opportunity to sit back and warm your toes by the fire pit next to your own fenced garden, making the most of the sunshine and outdoor life.

If you want to explore a little further afield, within a short drive through languid country roads you can reach Port Lympne Wildlife Park, the historic Cinque Ports town of Rye, the beaches at Dymchurch and the intriguing landscape of Dungeness. Or to venture further afield, hop on the nearby Eurotunnel at Folkestone for a day trip to France!

The Lookerer, a beautifully formed Shepherd's Hut on Romney Marsh, strikes a perfect balance between enjoying the comforts of modern life and being at one with nature. During lambing season you will see the ewes and their babies right outside your garden! Aside from the sheep grazing on the clover-rich pastures your only neighbour is its sister hut Rumwold's, set back to allow each their own privacy in this rural landscape, yet close enough if you would like to travel with friends. To complete the indulgent touches, The Lookerer is finished with luxury, artisan Romney Marsh Wool products and toiletries.
