An exclusive farm stay experience of not one but two holiday cottages, situated side by side and nestled in the Kent countryside. Doddington, near Faversham, is a charming village home to rolling fields and wildlife. These original flint cottages have been lovingly restored and are immaculately presented with all the creature comforts of a home from home yet in such a spectacular rural position.
The cottages provide a unique combination that allows for independent living, and yet all guests can come together to dine, inside or out, in the enclosed courtyard garden. Ideal for two families travelling together with each cottage consisting of two bedrooms and own living space.
The rural location offers a spectacular stay upon a working farm. For those interested in seeing the diverse landscape, the scenery is ever changing from wonderful green fields in spring, to the harvest from the mid-summer; ploughed fields and the rich mellow colours of autumn.
The cottages are a superb bolthole to escape the hustle and bustle. Enjoy a stroll along the country lanes or well established foot paths, and why not pop in for a refreshment at the local pub or visit the award winning local butchers, Doughty's, before a short walk back to create a feast for the family in the wonderfully equipped kitchen.
If you can bear to be pulled away from the cottage, you can venture to the nearby historic town of Faversham, passing by Macknade Fine Foods for a delectable choice of food and drinks. Take a day trip to the City of Canterbury or perhaps a day out shopping in Ashford's Outlet. The seaside is within 20 minutes and there is an abundance of beautiful heritage gardens and homes to visit. The cottage is ideal for couples and families of all ages looking for a special self-catering holiday cottage set in peaceful Kentish countryside, whatever the time of year.
