Enjoy wonderful views overlooking rolling countryside from this country rambles and at the end of the day enjoy immaculate, contemporary accommodation with an exciting equine twist!

An original riding block, with gallery overlooking the riding arena, has been converted into generous, contemporary self-catering holiday accommodation, providing all the essentials you could possibly need for a short break or extended stay.

This unique country getaway offers upper level living with viewing window overlooking the riding arena. The owners welcome you to meet their friendly horses and should you wish to don your riding hat for a private lesson or country hack, this can be arranged at an offsite stables yard less than half a mile away on request before your stay.

With a choice of two terraces to take in the views, enjoy a glass of wine and watch the children and pets play outdoors.

Paddocks View overlooks the paddocks of a livery and stable yard, home to the resident horses and the owners of the main house situated within the estate. This unusual holiday let is found situated along a rural country lane surrounded by open farmland in the small village of Waltham in the North Downs, five miles south of Canterbury in Kent. With stunning walking trails on your doorstep, this is the perfect place for families and those with pets to enjoy.

Canterbury is a medieval city surrounded by the original medieval city walls. Here you can visit the famous Cathedral and St Augustine's Abbey, both of which have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A whole day can be spent just exploring the Cathedral, Crypt and Cloisters. There is always something to entertain in Canterbury; Historic River Tours, The Canterbury Tales attraction, extensive shopping and a café culture second to none.

For golfers there is an 18 hole course on the outskirts of Canterbury, and numerous Links Courses, including Royal St George's in Sandwich and the Royal Cinque Ports in Deal. For fishermen, Marshside Fishing Lakes are just a mile away. Tickets start from £6.

With The Channel Tunnel and the Port of Dover in such close proximity, day trips to France are easy! Take The Eurostar to Paris in only 2 hours!

For food lovers staying in this self-catering holiday let, this area of Kent consistently boasts at least ten Good Food Guide restaurants and pubs. With delicious local produce and many local Farmers' Markets this part of Kent deserves to be called 'The Garden of England'

Livery options available from £75 a week including stabling and grazing. Food costs are extra.

Active stable yard. The owners kindly ask guests to not feed the horses. Introductions, i.e. petting and grooming can be made to the horses in arrangement with the owners.

The owners have horses at the stables that can be petted but riding on the site is unfortunately not available. However, there is a riding school less than a mile away. Riding tuition available off site at Manic Studd Riding Stable, less than a mile from the cottage. 01227 700349 to book.
