About The Homestead

A large modern house set upon an equine estate, provides wonderful views of the paddocks and countryside with roaming horses and wildlife around.

This unique equine country getaway offers an exclusive stay, perfect for a group of friends for a celebration and for families looking for a retreat with the children and pets who are also welcome to stay.

Flexible accommodation is available across two floors with a combination of twins and doubles plus a large family dormitory style room at the very top!

The owners welcome you to meet their friendly horses and enjoy the stable yard community, which makes this accommodation so very different, with the working stable yard across from the property within the estate. Should you be keen to don on the riding hat and look to enjoy a hack, arrangements can be made at a nearby school, please ask us for more details.

The Homestead: sleeps 17, in 5 bedrooms, 3 en-suite shower rooms and 1 family bathroom, 2 receptions (including kitchen / dining room), 1 terrace with furniture to seat 16 plus guests, BBQ, pets permitted, parking off road for up to 6/8 cars.

Ground Floor

Hall way, with sitting room and kitchen leading off.

Sitting room, snug seating for 17 guests on mixture of sofas (possible to sleeping 4 extra guests at a charge - please speak with a member of the booking team to request further information), TV, DVD player. Log burner.

Kitchen / breakfast room, dishwasher, gas hob and electric oven, extractor, TV, dining table and 16 seats. Log burner.

Downstairs cloakroom with WC and utility area.

Bed configuration (all upper floors)

First Floor

Master bedroom (sleeps 3), double bed and a single bed, double aspect windows, balcony and en-suite shower room.

Family room (sleeps 4), double bed and 2 x single beds and en-suite shower room.

Twin room (sleeps 2)

Double room (sleeps 2) 

Family bathroom, bath (jacuzzi) and seperate shower.

Second floor

Attic family bedroom (sleeps 6) two double beds and two single beds. Wardrobe. En-suite bathroom with shower over.


Gas oil heating throughout


Livery options available from £75 a week including stable, paddock. Food on top.

Active stable yard

The owners kindly ask guests to not feed the horses

Introductions can be made to the horses in arrangement with the owners.

Riding tuition available with a near by riding school in the village. Guests must book in advance.

What you need to know

Cot and high chair available on request.

The owners have horses at the stables situated on site that can be petted, but riding on the site is unfortunately not available. However, there is a riding school less than a mile away. Please ask for more details from the Booking Team.

Livery options are available from £75 per week including stables and a paddock. Food can be arranged at an additional cost.

Welcome basket of logs provided.

For larger parties (up to 20 + guests) you can combine The Homestead with Paddocks View, as this cottage is located on the same equine estate, just minutes away from The Homestead. Paddocks View can be booked separately and sleeps 4 adults plus 2 children (on sofa bed).
