About Moorings

Sink into the sofas in the large sitting room or bask on the sunny window seat looking out over the pretty garden, this house was made for relaxing. Very much a family home it is ideal for all ages with one of the bedrooms and shower rooms on the ground floor. Everything is within easy walking distance of the house making it possible to park your car and enjoy.

Many of you won't venture far, instead enjoying the south facing garden, perfect for chilling and entertaining with friends, knowing that the children are safe.

Aldeburgh is one of those seaside towns with something for everyone, there is a really good range of boutiques and restaurants, a live theatre in the summer months and an old fashioned boat pond and lifeboat to visit all adding to the atmosphere. And don't forget to sample the renowned fish and chips!

The art scene is strong with pop up exhibitions and more established galleries to explore, in June local artists open their homes throughout the town and the world renowned opera house at Snape Maltings is definitely worth a visit, even if its to see the amazing shops on sight!

What makes this area
So special...

Aldeburgh is one of those seaside gems, pretty as a picture and everything within walking distance. The town itself is renowned for its independent shops, cafe culture, great restaurants and pubs and of course the 2 fish and chip shops. The walks are wonderful as in one direction you can stroll along the beach and in the other are the wonderfully atmospheric marshes that surround the town. With public tennis courts, 9 hole golf course, sailing, bowls and a boat pond for the kids there is lots to do. Further afield, the stunning mediaeval city of Norwich is an hour away, Framlingham and Orford Castles are within 20 minutes and you can take a boat trip down the river or go crabbing at Walbeswick. But of course you could just sit and watch the world go by or lie on the beach and enjoy the ever changing view.
