Searsons has been refurbished to offer a beautiful yet comfortable home from home. The owners have cleverly created a dynamic yet flexible space within a striking period farmhouse. The interior is designed internally as two individual cottages yet connected seamlessly therefore offering a wealth of reception rooms for even the largest of groups to enjoy. It would make an ideal place for a special birthday or anniversary celebration.
Stylishly furnished with modern twists, it's mixed with lots of beams and wood burners - a great combination to make your stay luxurious but above all this holiday home in Suffolk offers every comfort that you could ask for.
A particular feature is the combination of the traditional and more contemporary, this can be noticeable in one of the two kitchens, which is very spacious with its lovely central island and bar stools, relaxing sofas and fireplace. Also a dining area that is just waiting to be occupied!
"I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time we had with our family in Searsons over the Christmas holiday. We are a family of 15 and 2 small dogs, as you know and everything about the house just suited our needs fantastically. The house was beautifully appointed, very clean, very warm and very welcoming. Thank you Amanda for the list you sent of where the shops, good pubs and Christmas tree suppliers were and your excellent directions for the car park when we all went off to the Panto in Ipswich, which I might add was great fun. The Ferryboat Inn was a great success for Christmas Eve lunch. We had the best time in the house"
Valerie and Family, Christmas 2016"Hi, Just wanted to say a huge thank you for arranging our stay at Searsons this weekend. The house was absolutely beautiful, very comfortable, well equipped and just what we needed for an amazing girly weekend! Please pass on our thanks to the owners. Will certainly recommend and hope to be back one day! Many thanks again, Laura"
June 2015 - Mrs L. Witherow"From the minute that we booked the Farmhouse to the minute we left, the service was amazing. Amanda could not have been more helpful or efficient. This was a joint birthday occasion and she made the visit very special, right down to the flowers and birthday cake left as a surprise. The house itself is at the end of a quiet lane and is very comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone. It is very well equipped and there are games, books and dvd's for those lazy days in. Even though we had the first sunny spring day of the year the wood burners made the rooms so cozy at night. There are country walks on the doorstep and it's only a mile and a half to the town of Felixstowe and the beach. Amanda gave us great advice regarding catering as we wanted something in-house for our special Saturday night dinner. Carol and her husband laid on a wonderful dinner, which was cooked, served and cleared away with the utmost efficiency. I would highly recommend Searsons Farmhouse for all ages."
Helen from London - March 2015"We had a fantastic weekend at Searsons Farmhouse and Cottage. I hired both as a surprise for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. The house is immaculate and very tastefully decorated in all rooms & so well equipped. The garden is huge, we easily had a game of rounders in it. We had a cocktail party on one of the evenings of our stay and the kitchen in the cottage area is such a great entertaining space, it was perfect for this...I would highly recommend the farmhouse and would jump at the chance to go back."
Olivia From Ipswich - March 2015"The property was fantastic thanks. Just what we wanted. Everyone had a great weekend. Most importantly Clare loved it as it was her 40th birthday celebration. Thanks again"
