About Nutley Farmhouse

Nutley Farmhouse is the largest self-catering cottage within the private estate of Nutley Edge. Designed to bring integration for all with a mixture of 10 traditional and 2 wheelchair accessible cottages, you will find this a haven for all - including your furry friend!

This charming accommodation has plenty of room to enjoy your stay, with a spacious living room and a fantastic decked area with magnificent views across the 11 acres of countryside available for guests to explore. A home from home with comfortable and spotless accommodation, take time to wander the estate and spy the lambs in spring or admire the ancient woodland and stream. A haven for children and families or those looking for their own slice of English countryside to use as a base for wider adventures. See if you can spot the resident chickens and Charlie the cat!

Nearby to Nutley village which boasts a selection of restaurants and shops to visit on the doorstep, and supermarkets only a 15 minute drive away in Uckfield, there are plenty of places to stock up on treats for your indulgent break. Balanced on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, there are a myriad of activities to for those looking for a burst of adrenaline; from biking through the woodland trails to watersports and skiing near Bewl Water and Tunbridge Wells. For a more relaxing break, stroll through the National Trust Sheffield Park and Garden nearby or Scotney Castle a little further afield.

Nutley Edge is owned by Outward, a London based charity. All profits are used for charitable activities. By holidaying at Nutley Edge you are helping disadvantaged people towards independence.

All 12 properties at Nutley Edge are available to book as a whole (Ash Cottage, Beech Cottage, Birch Cottage, Cherry Pip, Elm Cottage, Hawthorn, Holly Cottage, Walnut Walk and The Rowan). Perfect for weddings and parties, make use of the 11 acre land, the communal seating and BBQ area and field which is perfect to place a marquee for a get together. So special...

Should you fancy a spot of fishing, the River Ouse is just up the road (you'll need a permit). Glyndebourne and National Trust properties are nearby and the lovely town of Lewes with its eclectic range of independent shops. There's an antique and collectables auction there every Monday.

What you need to know

Pets welcome but please keep dogs on a lead in the estate as there are sheep grazing in the fields, chickens roaming free and a resident cat. 

Cot and high chair available on request.  Please note that Nutley Edge charge a £10 surcharge for each item per stay.

Please note this property will not be decorated for Christmas and the estate is a working charity.
