About Thornside Cottage

This self catering holiday cottage in Kent has been furnished in a comfortable cottage style with modern pieces of furniture and fresh decor, the triple aspect lounge with large French doors overlooking the patio allow the natural light to flood into the room. A special feature of the Kent holiday cottage is the fireplace in the dining room which has a fully-working wood burning stove. Cream coloured carpets throughout, as well as traditional brick flooring in the kitchen give the cottage a luxurious feel. A staircase leads from the kitchen up to three bedrooms as well as the fully equipped family bathroom.

This Kent holiday cottage's courtyard garden runs round three sides of the cottage. The garden area is fully paved with raised flower beds planted with traditional cottage garden plants. As the holiday cottage is in such a rural area of Kent there are many delightful footpaths and walks in and around other parts of Kent directly from the English holiday cottage. Being close to the historic towns of Tenterden, Rye and Hastings as well as a short distance from the beaches of Winchelsea and Camber, this really is a very versatile property to use as a base for either a short break or a family holiday.

This property has been rated 4 star by Visit Britain.

"A really lovely cottage, from the moment I arrived felt very comfortable. The kitchen was really well equipped, a good array and high quality kitchen utensils and cookware so could cook proper meals. The outside space was small but fine for eating out. Beds and pillows were really comfortable and good quality. Location was quiet (the road is quiet but the occasional cars do speed past quite quickly - parents beware) Views over the back were wonderful, with a horse or two. All in all really exceeded my expectations. Tenterden is a lovely town with all the facilities you need, plus some great home and antique shops. Will be back again within the year"
