About Primrose Lodge

If you are looking for a romantic escape to the country then look no further! Primrose Lodge has been completely renovated as a cosy yet contemporary 1 bed holiday cottage near Mayfield.

As you arrive, follow the lines of the beautiful old brickwork and grey-framed windows to the double door entrance, which also opens out onto the outside space looking out over the pretty Wealden farmland. A bright and smart open-plan sitting, dining and kitchen greet you, whilst tucked away at the rear is a king size bedroom with fantastic double-aspect private views. The lovely bathroom has a deep double-end bath with rain shower, perfect for a refreshing wake up or a long luxurious soak. With underfloor heating throughout and an inviting log burner too, Primrose Lodge is a warm, snug cottage to spend some quality time away from the madding crowds.

From the door there are plentiful walks and picturesque landscapes to explore, but just a couple of miles along winding country lanes, you can reach the traditional village of Mayfield in 5 minutes by car.

"Primrose Lodge is a delightful place in a delightful location. A real home from home. Ben & Henrietta have equipped the cottage beautifully and the log burning stove provides that wonderful cosy touch. We can recommend The Middle House in Mayfield, (especially for the Monday evening buffet) as a place to meet pleasant local people and have a drink (or two!) We hope the folk who come here after us have a similarly enjoyable stay."
