About 2 Stonedelph Cottage
Set within the Lydhurst Estate in West Sussex stands a perfectly traditional English self-catering cottage, recently renovated to add a modern design finish to a 19th Century house. For those seeking a relaxing and quiet undisrupted stay in the country, the Stonedelph's welcome you with open arms.
With 1 Stonedelph Cottage (opposite, also available to book on our website) as the only neighbour nearby, and surrounded by woodland and pastures this truly is an escape from city life. The open plan kitchen-dining room is separated from the sitting room by a few steps, and creates a perfect space for family gatherings. The dining room table and chairs are cleverly designed to maximise the space within the property.
The furnishings are personally picked and suit each room's personality. Exposed brick and oak beams emanate the property's long history. On the ground floor the former coal store has now been creatively converted into a single bedroom, and upstairs there are two well-proportioned double bedrooms and the family bathroom.
Within this rural location there are many fun activities close by, Bolney Wine Estate is only a short journey away, and the Half Moon Pub is within walking distance. 2 Stonedelph is a fabulous base for exploring the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in which the property lies. There are plenty of activities tailored towards the explorers, but slightly further afield are more than enough activities to cater for all the familys' needs.
There is a tennis court 250 metres from the cottage, available free of charge (a basketball hoop, rackets and balls are also provided); please note this is shared with the other holiday cottages on the estate and use is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also a communal games room 300 metres away with a pool table and table tennis.
