About Leggs Field Barn 2

Leggs Field Barn is situated right at the heart of the High Weald of Sussex, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near to the tiny hamlet of Boars Head. The barn comprises of an open plan lounge with kitchen and dining facilities on the ground floor and two double bedrooms and a separate bathroom.

Enjoying panoramic views over woodlands and farmland, the Barn is well situated not just because of its seclusion, but also because "civilisation" isn't far away. In fact a ten minute stroll through neighbouring orchards will bring you to an excellent pub serving local ales and bar meals. The small market town of Crowborough with supermarkets, restaurants, small local shops and a market is a short drive away, as is the delightful Georgian spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

For larger groups, Leggs Field Barn 1 is also available to book which also sleeps 4.

Holstege Family, Veenendaal, The Netherlands August 2015

"We had a very nice week but a lot of rain. Saw the deer in the woods, visited some Castles. A wonderful place to walk around the house. We had everything we needed in the house. Thank you!"

Arend Family - October 2013

"What a lovely setting - the barn was very comfortable in all aspects. An ideal base to explore the many gardens and National Trust properties in the area. If you are plant hunters - try and find Marchants Hardy Plants at Laughton, a small nursery and garden - well worth the trip. Beachy Head and Seven Sisters were also well worth a visit. We ate out at the Nevill Crest and Gun a couple of times and had good service and food both times. We also saw the deer who seemed to enjoy visiting Franks garden! We will be back ......"

The Denslow Family - September 2013

"We really enjoyed our stay at Leggs Field Barn 2. We saw a few deer one night! We will be back."

The Fletcher Family - August 2013

"We enjoyed our one week vacation here. To our surprise the weather was perfect - sunny and warm, so we could take advantage of the nice terrace and our children (1 and 3 years) enjoyed playing with the little stones around. We found the Sheffield Park and Gardens (30 minutes from here) very beautiful and easy to walk with children as well. Its time to leave and maybe, hopefully we will return to this nice area! Thank you."

August 2013

"Thank you for a very pleasant week in a very beautiful, clean and welcoming holiday cottage. We especially enjoyed the spectacular views from the patio and the sunset over the hills. Hever Castle is worth visiting (but don't try the food), the kids especially enjoyed the mazes there. What we would not recommend is the Bentley, Wildfowl and Motor Museum as the gardens seemed to be neglected. Beachy Head is a must!!"

The Klamm Family - July 2013

"The deep south is refreshingly English and well worth a second visit. The Barn and terrace are spectacular and Frank extends a typical Brummie welcome."

Mr and Mrs Jones - June 2013

"We had a great time in Legg Field Barn. We stayed here with two families, our family in this house and my sisters in the other house. We did a nice walk around the house, through the fields. We ate a few times at Neville cest. It is a very nice place, good service and food was nice and suitable for children. Some other nice things to do are; Nymans Garden, Groombridge Place, Scotney Castle, Drusillas Park, horse riding at Ashdown Forest."

May 2013

"We again had a marvelous tine, We saw many deers and other small creatures. We found waterfalls, rocks and sequoias. We saddled up our horse and went for some ride in the woods. It is great to see all the bluebells. We do not have them in Holland. Time is up, but we will come back again."

April 2013

"Several of our plans were rained off, but they will waiting until next time we are here. Instead spent quite abit of time just relaxing and enjoyed the comfort of the barn."

April 2013

"Freezing outside, snow for days and sunsets. A memorable week from Penshurst to Pevensey ! Thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and its setting. Really appreciate the well equipped kitchen, especially Edith (aged 3) who made pancakes and pretend shows with the trolley !"
