Things To Do In Hythe 

Hythe has a wonderful blend of history and traditional Kentish seaside. With antique shops, vintage boutiques, and great local pubs and restaurants, this coastal market town offers an authentic seaside experience.

The high street is definitely worth a visit, to spot some vintage gems, grab a bite to eat or to admire the Medieval and Georgian buildings. Not too far from the high street, you can take a stroll across the Victorian promenade or even try your hand at fishing on Hythe beach.

Just a short 15 minute walk away is the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, situated on the stunning banks of the Royal Military Hythe Canal. Enjoy soaking up the sights of Romney Marsh, Dymchurch and Dungeness on ‘Kent’s Miniature Mainline’.

There are many other beautiful villages and towns in the surrounding area of Hythe, such as Folkestone, Sandgate, Alkham & Acrise. Sandgate, just a short bus or drive away from Hythe, is a wonderful place to take a long coastal walk and grab some traditional fish and chips. Folkestone, is a great place to see some live entertainment at the ‘Leas Cliff Hall’, with performances ranging from comedy and ballet to concerts and wrestling.
