About Box Cottage

Introduction

"This romantic traditional English country cottage is host to all the beautiful features you would expect to find. Named after the lovely box hedging that surrounds the cottage this Grade II listed cottage dates back to the 17th century. It has recently been renovated to provide a wonderful self-catering Kent holiday home. With a traditional brick path leading up to the front door of this English holiday cottage and surrounded by immaculate front and back gardens this is set in a truly romantic location for a special break away.\nBox Cottage has been sympathetically furnished with traditional pieces complimented beautifully with up to date soft furnishings. A special feature of the Kent holiday cottage is the exposed inglenook fireplace in the dining room which has a fully-working wood burning stove to ensure that your winter breaks are cosy and comfortable. Original old pine floorboards downstairs add to the character as well as traditional brick flooring in the entrance hall. A small winding staircase leads up to two bedrooms which are tucked into the eaves both overlook the front garden out of little leaded windows and make the most of the stunning views of the rolling Kent countryside.\nThe pretty enclosed garden extends to the rear of the holiday cottage and from the kitchen you can wander out and enjoy the private outside space. As the holiday cottage is in such a rural area of Kent there are an extensive network of delightful footpaths to explore so it is ideal for walkers whether you are just looking for a short evening stroll or a long cross country ramble. In the colder months why not look forward to cosying up by the fireplace with a good book and glass of wine. This cottage is ideal for anytime of year.\nThere is parking outside this Kent holiday cottage on the quiet lane."

Very good service. Easy to book. Good directions. Thank you very much Lovely old detached cottage in a beautifully quiet location. Terrific garden well maintained. Well resourced with excellent array of teas and coffees and other drinks. Feels a million miles from the busy parts of Kent which are not that many miles away. Why travel further when you have places like this to visit? Suggest you try exploring the many footpaths nearby.

This was for my daughter and her partner. They both loved the accommodation and would use Mulberry again. Had a lovely break and would stay again.

Booking went smooth and everything was clear. Questions were answered promptly. Very charming and welcoming little cottage, well equipped, clean, tasteful, gorgeous garden and set in a beautiful area. Taking a shower was a bit uncomfortable as the shower was not attached to a wall, but that’s all part of the charm of an old cottage. We had a great time in Box cottage and would definitely recommend it to friends.

When making our reservation for a cottage Anamaria Gomz helped us very well! I had her on the Phone several times and every time she was very kind and helpful. It was nice speaking to her! The information Mulberry Cottages gave us was correct and complete! Thank you! Box cottage is a very nice cottage with a very nice and cosy garden. We had a great time!! The only two things you could perhaps take into consideration are: The shower: taking a shower was an adventure, sitting down on my knees and holding the showerhead (isn’t attached to the wall or something) in such a way that the rest of the bathroom wouldn’t get wet as there isn’t a shower-curtain. And with our mobile phones we were not in range for my parents for example. As my father’s health isn’t too good, I would have liked us to be reachable by Phone. Thank you!
