A wonderful base to explore the coast and downs with the dog and friends. Very warm and cosy and a perfect pub right next door, everything we wanted for a late break. Would recommend the Coach House to anyone.

The cottage was immaculately clean when we arrived and the food pack was adequate. The location was good but the local shopping was fairly sparse which did not matter to us. It was warm and cosy but it was a shame that being pet friendly there was not a garden to access.

Beautifully designed and furnished. Excellent location for beach, for local walks and pottering around Bridport vintage markets. The week went too fast.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location next to a village pub. It was ten minutes walk to Hive Beach. The only issue was parking was difficult due to it having a shared drive with the cottage next door who had three large vehicles.

Perfect for chilled family break. Location is perfect with excellent pubs within walking distance serving great food . The quality of the bedding, towels and fixtures especially the showers made this a real premium experience. The extra touches such as local produce in the welcome pack was appreciated

This was a lovely place to stay and we would highly recommend it. It worked well for a group including someone with limited mobility because of the downstairs bedroom and shower room. A grab rail in the shower would have been useful to allow the person with limited mobility to shower without assistance.

This is a brilliant house for exploring the West Dorset coastline and countryside. The house is in a beautiful village with 2 local pubs , a very convenient village shop for essentials and a 10 minute walk to the beach with the lovely Hive cafe. The house itself is well appointed and due to its thick walls very cool( we had a heat wave whilst we were staying) and quiet. We loved our stay and the added bonus was that apart from some terrific country walks we also spent time at the coast and the dog learned to enjoy the waves - we now cannot get her out of it!!! Highly recommended.

Perfect. Home from home. Situated in a beautiful village within walking distance to park, pub, beach and the bus that travels the coastal route. The property is comfortable with quality mattresses, bedding and linen. Small cottage garden ideal for relaxing with a bbq. Owners next door who are extremely pleasant and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.

Brilliant stay at Coach House, the house was set up perfectly for our family with 2 sets of adults and 2 children, plus the dog. Burton Bradstock is such a lovely village with great access to Hive Beach. Lovely coastal walks to take the dog on and a great playground nearby for the kids. The house was great, enough space in the living room, then two dining options with an extendable table to sit us all inside or outside in the pretty courtyard. All the beds were really comfortable and bedroom having a bathroom or en-suite was brilliant. The owners were really nice and gave great advice on places to go and visit. All in all a brilliant week away on the Dorest coast.

The reason I have given a low score is, we could not get into our accommodation until 4 pm and had to leave by 9.30am on the Monday morning. This actually gave us only 2 full days in the cottage. We paid a astronomical amount for the cottage. You could stay in a top hotel for the amount we paid. So won’t be doing this again.

We have stayed at The Retreat and saw the Coach House being converted so it was lovely to stay there. The decor and furnishings are so stylish, which makes it an even more fantastic holiday stay. It is comfortable and well-equipped and I’m sure we will be back. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, especially the floors and skirting boards, but it’s a fabulous place I really recommend.

Lovely clean and comfortale cottage. Slight critiscsm would be not able to understand the workings of the TV. Could not answer local amenities and had no need to use them. The local market in Bridport was excellent. The owners absolutely lovely.

Wonderful cottage, extremely clean and well equipped. We definitely will stay again. We were 5 adults and 1 dog, there was plenty of room for everyone. Lots of lovely walks and 2 great pubs close by. The bus stops right outside which was a bonus.

Excellent base to explore Dorset. Lovely, quiet village. Lovely, helpful shop and playground for children down the road. The retreat itself was very clean and well equipped. It was the perfect size for us and 3 children. Bathrooms all modern and clean. Would most definitely recommend to a friend and we will be back . Thank you 
