Bramley Lodge is situated perfectly, enabling you to make the most of this beautiful part of the country. Easy to find, just a stone’s throw from an A road, and yet on a pretty, and quiet lane, just opposite the common and surrounded by gorgeous green gardens and paddock. There is so much to do here. The Bluebell Railway is just a few miles along the road, and even if you just buy a platform ticket, you can step through a perfectly preserved ticket office and get up close to real vintage steam engines. Garden lovers will be happy, with the delights of Wakehurst Place and Sheffield Park on the doorstep; and who doesn’t love a National Trust tea room and gift shop? If the coast is more your style, then it’s just half an hour or so to Brighton, Hove or Worthing, through some of the prettiest villages on the way. Be sure to seek out the local artisan cafes and restaurants. We were lucky enough to do all of this during our stay in March, when everything was looking just lovely in the spring sunshine. Bramley Lodge itself is beautifully put together and we received a very warm welcome on arrival. It’s modern, light and bright throughout, with lovely views from every window. Upstairs is a gorgeous master bedroom, with a comfortable bed so huge that you won’t know you’re sharing it! Alongside is a sleek and modern en suite, complete with bathrobes and innovative lighting for that perfect bath experience. The twin room is on the ground floor, with another beautiful shower room. The open-plan kitchen and lounge area is spacious and the underfloor heating meant that it was warm and cosy. The owners have done a terrific job in converting the property and providing everything that you need. It’s all in the little touches, such as a vase of freshly-cut herbs from the garden, and home-baked cake. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here, and left wishing that we had been able to stay for longer.

We had the privilege of being one of the first to stay at Bramley Lodge. What a lovely holiday property. Beautifully done throughout and a joy to stay here. Plenty to do around and about. Wakefield Gardens are a must. Dinner at The Griffen just a few miles up the road. Enjoyed every minute.
