About Brewery Stable

Introduction

"Brewery Stable is a cosy rural retreat from which you can explore the picturesque footpaths and bridleways that extend from the beautiful Ansty village into the expansive Dorset countryside. On entering the cottage you are immediately immersed into the warm welcoming period features. This Dorchester holiday cottage is wonderfully quirky with a long and interesting history - formerly the stables for the family brewery you will see antiques that relate to the cottages past throughout including the vintage collars the shire horses wore when mashing the hops.\nThe lounge is simply the perfect place for your family or group to relax whether you are reflecting on your travels of the day or simply enjoying a book in front of the fire. With luxurious sofas throws and a warm fire you could spend hours catching up with friends and family.\nThe Range Master in the spacious kitchen will be where you can try out your entertaining skills and whip up a feast complete with a large table to enjoy the fruits of your labours. That is of course unless you can be tempted by the flagship Hall and Woodhouse pub across the road where even your pet will be made welcome\nThere are exposed beams and period features in this cottage with wooden panelling extending onto the first floor. On this level you will find three very characterful comfortable bedrooms where you can lay your head after a day out in the countryside. Brewery Stable is furnished to a high standard in each room which gives the cottage a homely charm that will make your break in the Dorset countryside an indulgent experience."

This ’service’ was totally Internet based so not too much to say about it. Obviously very quick to invoice and provide information via email. The cottage itself was very nice although on the dark side once indoors. There was sufficient lighting although in the kitchen if the ceiling lighting bulbs that were out had been replaced (instead of the addition of small lamps) it would have made it much brighter. The satellite TV/Internet was extremely unreliable although this didn’t bother us very much I can see that it would other visitors. There was a selection of old films etc available. The only other small drawback was the size of the ’bath’ towels in the bathroom (too small). The local pub across the road from the cottage was very welcoming and served delicious food.

Very easy and straight forward to deal with. Bed comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Bathrooms could do with professional overhaul and shame about the awful pretend wood burner. In a nice area and close to pub.

We have had 3 breaks now with Mulberry Cottages and each booking has been handled promptly and efficiently and sometimes having to come back to us after a special request . Very comfortable and with every possible item included to make it home from home and so very good for dogs with enclosed garden. Such a very likeable Owner on Site too.
