Parking is shared with the owner in the main drive and a well-lit public footpath leads from the drive. The property has its own small garden area and an aspect that faces away from the owner’s house. With a footpath adjacent to the house there is access to open country side right from your doorstep.\nInside is light spacious and airy with a wood burning stove and newly fitted kitchen. The owner has furnished the property in a simple yet stylish fashion with good quality dining table sofa and chairs. All is open plan and the light from various windows creates a charming airy feel. There is one bedroom and a bathroom with WC.\nBroomley Cottage in the village of Winterslow will suit couples or professionals looking for a break or a base to explore Salisbury only 20 minutes drive or the beautiful surrounding Wiltshire countryside."

    Property is in the grounds of the owners house. Parking is the spacious driveway of the owners house. There is a 40 metre walk down a public footpath to the property from the parking space. There is some visbility of the owners allotment from the property but for the most part it is private.
    Please note -Property can be booked for short breaks with any day start.

    Pets - The property is only suitable for 1 dog.

      Easy to book and all info came through quickly. Second visit here and just as lovely as the first time. Cottage is immaculate and good size for 2. Owners are friendly and helpful - dealt with a minor issue promptly and respectfully.

      Jammer dat alle mail in engelse taal is. Voor mensen die de taal niet geheel machtig zijn kan dit een euvel zijn. Huisje van alle gemakken voorzien. Vriendelijke eigenaren, konden voor alles aankloppen (als het nodig zou zijn). Lekker tuintje waar je nog heerlijk van het avondzonnetje kon genieten. Met de hond zo het veld (achter het huis) in waar hij lekker met andere honden kon spelen.

      The website was clear and good, and the service was fine. The only thing was that, when I had paid, I received a message saying that my booking was provisional , or something like that, and you would get back to me. I had to ring you to clarify, as I was not happy with the idea that I had paid and not received a firm booking. On the phone you told me it was all confirmed, and I later received an email to that effect, but it was a bit confusing. The cottage was really lovely. Everything had been very well thought out, and the little details were great. The cottage was beautifully furnished and equipped, and the garden nice, and we really liked being able to walk straight from the garden onto a footpath and into the fields. It was very peaceful and yet near many attractions.

      Mulberry Cottages need to make it clear on the site that they are a booking agent for Broomley Cottage and that the dealings need to be with them, not the owner. The 60 day cancellation policy needs to be very prominent on the website so people are well aware of it prior to booking. While overseas, changes to a family funeral made us change our plans and Mulberry were not willing to refund any of the days.

      We were kept well informed of the status of our booking and the website is well designed. Our experience of the actual cottage we booked (Broomley Cottage near Salisbury) could not have been better. The setting was beautiful, the cottage was perfectly appointed and we had a thoroughly relaxing break. We met the owners briefly and they could not have been more welcoming, we felt that they were there if we needed them. Highly recommended, we would defintely use Mulberry Cottages for a stay-cation again.

      professional and courteous. Very clean and comfortable, excellent facilities and Mr and Mrs Browne were perfect hosts. Great location and there were some lovely walks directly from the cottage. Very quiet and peaceful.

      Confusing invoices, which meant it was unclear what was being paid and which the different deposits referred to. Paid for x2 contract payments (£35) even though it was essentially one booking but a week in the middle was already booked (so we had to find temporary accommodation for a week and were penalised for it). unsuitable for anyone who has more than one car i.e. those who aren’t just staying for a holiday week. Extremely expensive for what it is (we needed somewhere whilst moving house that would permit pets for a couple of weeks). Nice cottage, mixed village (not much by way of decent pubs and some of the locals were extremely unfriendly; some were lovely). Long stay in total (~6 weeks in two blocks). Had to request cleaning during second month, which didn’t seem unreasonable for the £350 per week cost for a one bed cottage.

      Easy to use website & straight forward booking/payment process Accommodation was as described but owner was generous with extras such as cleaning materials & other store cupboard items. Very friendly owner who was keen to make sure she didn’t invade our privacy. Very thoughtful. The property is ideally situated for touring around the area, with the New Forest, coast & Stonehenge etc all within easy reach. Would recommend.
