Calf Pen was warm and comfortable for our week in Winchester. Located in rural Itchen Abbas gave us peace and quiet with excellent access to nearby towns and places of interest. The cottage is spotlessly clean and the hosts kind and considerate of our needs.

I had one of their properties for several months whilst working and have no complaints - my security deposit was returned without me having to ask for it at the end of my stay. Just what I needed whilst working in Winchester

Because they helped me find accommodation both here and in Ropey that was within my budget and fitted in with my work requirements. Abbie went the extra mile by finding me a few to choose from that were close to work and then negotiated a rate that was within my budget. Accommodation was lovely and the owners were helpful and friendly.

Online booking easy and straightforward. Property and location as described. Will use again. Excellent property in a lovely location. We were greeted by Brenda on arrival, shown around the property and made very welcome. The home baked bread, tea, coffee, milk and bottle of fizz all went down well. The property was very clean and all furnishings and fittings were to a high standard. Lovely location within an easy drive of local pubs, National Trust properties, Arlesford and Winchester, as well as having fab walks on the doorstep. We would highly recommend this property.

The booking process itself was a little cumbersome and not instantaneous. This is presumably because Mulberry Cottages has to liaise with the property owners. We would have preferred instant confirmation of the booking rather than waiting a few days for confirmation. General flow of information concerning the payment of the balance and the final property details was good but not the best I have experienced. I was particularly concerned to note when we telephoned the property owner to arrange the time of our arrival she told us that she wasn’t expecting us. She knew she had a booking pencilled in for that date but it had not been confirmed. Thankfully the accommodation was ready for us so it didn’t present a problem. It was a very peaceful location but rather remote and we hadn’t appreciated from the description on the website that there was nothing around in terms of restaurants and pubs within reasonable walking distance. The owner was very welcoming, the accommodation was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
