This pet friendly accommodation is perfect to enjoy whilst visiting the magnificent gardens of East Sussex or heading to the beach with a bucket and spade.\nWith a myriad of delightful quaint tea shops and cafes to choose from in nearby Battle it is possible to while away the hours investigating the history and the legend of the infamous 1066 battle. Browse the antique shops on the pretty streets emanating out from Battle Abbey in autumn watch out for the firework parades and explore a bygone era at ’Yesterday’s World’ on the High Street where a nostalgic trip down memory lane awaits.\nThe larger coastal town of Hastings is only 15 minutes away by car perfect to soak up the traditional seaside atmosphere. Wander through the Old Town where there are plenty of English pubs to choose from offering great live music in the evenings or try the amusements by the beach have a ’fish and chip dinner’ and an ice cream to complete a wonderful day.\nIf you’re looking to retire closer to home Sedlescombe Golf Club can accommodate golfing enthusiasts at any skill level and ’Green’s’ restaurant is a perfect way to fill up on hearty local food at the end of the day. Sedlescombe Vineyard provides an excellent day out explore the vineyard or take a guided tour with wine tasting which can be rounded off with a delicious Ploughmans lunch or afternoon cream tea. What you need to know

Pets welcome. Dog bowl and treats provided. Please inform us at the time of bookings if you wish to bring your pet along at a charge of £10 per pet/per week! The property is fenced and secure. If small dogs, the owner may accept a 3rd dog.

Child friendly (cot and high chair available on request, please bring own bedding).

Log burning fire - please be careful of small children when this is on in the winter months.
Please note the accommodation is all on one level however there is a slope and a couple of steps leading up to the entrance.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept bookings for stag and hen parties at this property.

Sedlescombe is a small village in the heart of 1066 country, East Sussex. With historic Battle and Hastings within a short drive, it’s impossible to ignore the dramatic landscape in which an iconic battle was fought. With plenty to do on the doorstep; from wine tours at the local vineyard, a meal at the local pub or a round of golf to a cheerful seaside day trips.

We stayed on Bonfire weekend and it rained and rained all the time but it forced us into total relaxation mode and we enjoyed the tranquil cottage to the full. Attention to detail was second to nine and the decor was stunning. We cooked on the first and second night and the kitchen was superbly equipped with all we needed. We would have no hesitation in recommending this immaculate cottage, and hope to return. Thank you Castlemans for a weekend of chilled bliss.

Excellent accommodation, well worth what we paid. Everything we could have needed was there. Ideally situated for using as a base to explore the Southeast of England. The welcome pack of basic groceries was a great touch, much appreciated as we arrived late in the evening. The local village pub is within a short walk and does good food. There is one small local shop/Post office in the village that is quite well stocked. All in all we highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in very clean and comfortable accommodation. The entrance to this property was not easy to find as the posts were not black!! Also I think you should be made very aware it is a shared garden which you have to walk through to reach your accommodation.

Very difficult to find. No black gateposts as stated and no sign where you turn in onto the farm track. Please put a nameplate or some sort of sign up at the entrance! Welcome basket lovely and nice peaceful setting.

A lovely cottage with super amenities. The cottage was scrupulously clean and a generous welcome basket was provided. During our stay there was a power cut in the village and the owner came round with extra candles and kept us up to date with what was happening. This cottage is ideally situated for some brilliant days out. I would reccomend Battle Abbey, Tunbridge Wells and Bodiam Castle. The local pub was very friendly and the barman was a mine of information for places to go.

This place in beautiful, The accommodation is prefect , To be honest i cant fault anything about it One criticism is the fact that it is a little difficult to find , A sign on the gate leading into the farm wouldn't go a miss, The local pub the Queens Head is brilliant the food is great , The staff are really friendly

The property was pretty much perfect, every mod con was available as if you were at home. Attention to detail had been thought about throughout the property. The rooms were a very good size, beds comfy, pillows comfy and after a day out they were well received. The fields opposite the property were perfect for walking the dog in the morning. The log burner kicked out lots of heat, and with the weather we were lucky enough to use the decking outside. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who want to stay here. Good value for money and available for Monday to Friday

Simple and straightforward. Excellent location. Good quality, modern and clean. Spacious. Great for pet owners (secure garden/lawn and surrounding fields). Couldn’t fault it. Would recommend it and would definitely stay again.

Excellent place to stay . Very clean and well equipped . Amazing welcome pack and top marks for the comfortable seating both inside and out .one point I think possibly it is time to replace the mattresses! The toppers did help but I found them a little uncomfortable . Well appointed place to stay .

Everything was first class. The cottage was well equipped and furnished. The Welcome Hamper was really well thought out and very much appreciated. The attention to small details and the extras that were provided exceeded expectations. Definitely hope to return. Good value for money in May/ June

We mess about, changing our dates and then adding days, the staff at Mulberry were very helpful. Lovely place, exelant facilities all very good quality and very well maintained.
