This pet friendly accommodation is perfect to enjoy whilst visiting the magnificent gardens of East Sussex or heading to the beach with a bucket and spade.\nThe larger coastal town of Hastings is only 15 minutes away by car perfect to soak up the traditional seaside atmosphere. Wander through the Old Town where there are plenty of English pubs to choose from offering great live music in the evenings or try the amusements by the beach have a ’fish and chip dinner’ and an ice cream to complete a wonderful day.\nIf you’re looking to retire closer to home Sedlescombe Golf Club can accommodate golfing enthusiasts at any skill level and ’Green’s’ restaurant is a perfect way to fill up on hearty local food at the end of the day. Sedlescombe Vineyard provides an excellent day out explore the vineyard or take a guided tour with wine tasting which can be rounded off with a delicious Ploughmans lunch or afternoon cream tea. Pets welcome Dog bowl and treats provided, please inform a member of the bookings team if you wish to bring your pet along at a cost of £10 per pet/per week! The property is fenced and secure.If small dogs, the owner may accept a 3rd dog.

Log burning fire - Please be careful of small children when this is on in the winter months

Please note the accommodation is all on one level however there is a slope and a couple of steps leading up to the entrance.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept bookings for stag and hen parties at this property.

Sedlescombe is a small village in the heart of 1066 country, East Sussex. With historic Battle and Hastings within a short drive, it’s impossible to ignore the dramatic landscape in which an iconic battle was fought. With plenty to do on the doorstep; from wine tours at the local vineyard, a meal at the local pub or a round of golf to a cheerful seaside day trips.

Well equipped, spacious, very clean and comfortable. Excellent for dog owners. Perfect location close to Hastings, but still very rural. Lots of woodland walking in the vicinity. Good location to visit many places from Eastbourne to Rye and beyond. Easy access to London by train from Battle.

What a fabulous find this was. We loved our time here. There are so many things to see and do near by. The accommodation was lovely with everything we could ever need. The welcome pack was super after a long drive. Even though the weather was really warm the cottage was cool as all windows face into the courtyard. We enjoyed the view from the decked area which was great for sitting and relaxing with a glass of wine on an evening.

Lovely cottage, pleasant views. Bell ringing practice on Weds! Good pub in the village. Lovely garden centre down the road. Close to Battle, Rye, Hastings and Camber Sands. Even close enough to the Ashford outlet shopping centre.

My partner & I literally could not fault this holiday accommodation at all. It was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and furnished and the beds & pillows were even more comfortable than our normal ones at home, which is saying something!! We were thrilled with the welcome hamper too and it was so nice to see how dog-friendly this holiday cottage owner truly is - with treats, bed, dog towels & bowls readily available (although we had brought our own, so didn't need to use them). If ever we want another break in this part of East Sussex, we wouldn't hesitate to come back to Castleman's Stables.

Easy to use. No problems making the booking I wanted. 2nd time staying here and was just as happy as the first time. Booked both cottages to spend time with family. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage, but the experience of walking into the village was quite scary, due to the traffic on the road running from the cottages into the village. Not the owners’ fault so we would recommend the cottage to our more fearless friends and relations! The cottage was very well-equipped and comfortable. Good value for money, especially compared to other cottages we’ve stayed in.

The service that you are providing is confusing, since we only wanted to rent the cottage. We also received spam, which was not intentional. I had stayed there with my girlfriend for valentine’s day, the weather was terrible at the time, but to summarise the experience: - extremely good attention to detail in terms of hospitality, I felt welcomed into the place I was staying at rather than a hotel. - as advertised, enough kindling and logs for a fire. - welcoming hamper was full of well-thought-out items. - spotlessly clean. The only downside was that we had to get a taxi on the Sunday, but the nearest Village (10 minutes walk down the road) was willing to call us a cab.
