What makes this area so special
Situated on the most dramatic of cliff top locations in Capel-Le-Ferne, sandwiched between Dover and Folkestone, you will never be short of things to keep you busy including a host of beautiful walks. From The Warren just below Eagles Nest, a conservation woodland area, to Samphire Ho en route to Dover and the White Cliffs walk to name a few. As well as some fantastic historic sites, such as the renowned Dover Castle, the cobbled streets and Cathedral in Canterbury, and the Battle of Britain Memorial which is a short walk from Eagles Nest.
With two local pubs, The Lighthouse and The Valiant Sailor within 600 metres, relaxed meals or drinks couldn’t be more convenient. Those who love a little bit of the seaside will certainly want to give Folkestone a visit, whether it is to pick up the catch of the day from the fish market at the quayside, enjoy lunch at Folkestone’s award winning restaurant Rocksalt, sample the delights of the impressive harbour arm with pop up restaurants, bars and live music (from April-October), or wander the shops and art galleries on the cobbled old high street.
