A totally tranquil setting on the clifftop gave you the opportunity to relax with all the comforts that the property offered meaning you could stay at home with plenty to enjoy your time, with short journeys to fantastic days out to Folkstone where there is plenty to do 18 hole pitch and putt, tennis and ample places for eating out and Dover to see the castle. For animal lovers there is a conservation safari within 20 minute drive which is fantastic, overall the property has breathtaking views and offers clifftop walks which are amazing. Have rebooked as it is undoubtedly a fantastic area-highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely cottage amazing views really think your somewhere else not uk the only down side is the water pressure when 2 or more taps are on at the same time the water almost stops in the showers and it can get really hot or really cold otherwise Lovely place

Perfect for a remote getaway. We had no desire to get out and about during our stay, so it was perfect for us! Thoroughly enjoyed the pool, and sone cosy evenings in front of the fire and tv! Everything we needed was there for us, and I don’t think there was anything we could have wanted that wasn’t there. We took the pooch with us and were fully aware from reviews and comms that the garden wasn’t fully enclosed, but we just made sure we took her out on her lead. Added bonus is it gave us more chances to take in the beautiful views! There are some stunning cliff top walks, as well as some pleasant walks around the local area. Some slight wear and tear in a couple of spots around the house, but this was barely noticeable and didn’t affect any aspect of our enjoyment of the stay!! Will definitely be returning!

We had an amazing post Christmas break at Eagles Nest. The house was warm, comfortable and welcoming, with the most stunning views from nearly every room. One of the best equipped holiday homes we have stayed in and well organised, especially the kitchen and utility room. The pool was warm and our 15 month old grandson absolutely loved it, giving us all hours of fun. Despite being early February we had blue skies every day and some great walks with the dogs. The house is perched high on the cliffs and the grounds are not totally secure so the dogs could only go in the gardens when supervised, not a problem for us but could be for some I imagine. The host sent us a very comprehensive welcome guide to the house, surrounding area, places of interest and eateries before we arrived and there are two welcome packs in the house. Three generations and we all had a great break, did not want to leave and would go back again.

Great property in a great location. Went as a family. The pool was great and warm. Just a little shame that one or two of the artworks on the wall aren't suitable for kids (language) but would go back.

I had to give an overall rating of 10 , would give 11 if I could for the pure luxury , indulgence and utter peace of the place As soon as I walked in I was shocked by the space , luxury and beauty of the place , stunned in fact as both the property and location are so stunning Beautiful large and airy rooms all with THOSE views I could not help stopping to look at especially in the kitchen while cooking etc The kitchen is the best holiday kitchen I have EVER cooked in SO well equipped with everything including the elusive teapot that so many holiday homes seem to miss in favour of the compulsory coffee pot instead! Lol There was every utensil and cooking vessel we needed all perfectly organised in fact I have been longing for a holiday home like this where the SIMPLE things are catered for like separate recycling bins for waste , food , and recyclable materials as some / most we stay in have just one bin with a black bin liner in it and I love having the separate bins for recycling , also has every cleaning product you can imagine including washing machine powder , plenty of dishwasher tablets , you hardly need to bring anything with you apart from toiletries and clothing!! ( Many places with a washing machine you have to bring your own powder etc and in some places even tea bags , sugar and cooking oil etc but there was EVERYTHING and more here , a cooks paradise as well with so much relaxing space and possibly the freshest air in the UK! ) I was so at peace here as it was more like a spa break with the view , wonderful pool , sauna and jacuzzi etc for me it was like a well being break as there was just the two of us My only gripe for us is the price especially during the school holidays for just the two of us , worth paying especially if in a group and can easily split it to make it very affordable indeed , yet very pricey if you do not split it with anyone and pay the whole whack in school holiday time , so it may become unaffordable for us to return which we so VERY much want to do as it was indeed our ''best holiday ever'' Just ONE thing came to mind is I would have loved a white towelling robe for the sauna area as I did treat it like a spa holiday and it would have been lovely to walk around in a towelling robe ( instead of just the towel ) but I know that would mean much more washing for the already high amount of washing after guests stays! Lol ''Perfect as you can get'' I would say and we would LOVE to stay again but I am currently saving up as the break I have in mind for next year does not seem to qualify for the low deposit scheme sadly and is a very high amount as it is just for the two of us ( myself and a young teenager with Autism ) but I hope our school holiday dates remain free while I save up for it as I would be gutted if we missed out as this would make our perfect ''yearly holiday'' to look forward to as we do NOT go abroad ever at all for a variety of reasons and I would absolutely love for this to be our regular yearly break away if it is possible ) xx

Stunning peaceful, cliff-top location. A swimming pool, gym and sauna on-site, add to a place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle to rest and relax. Second visit for us and ready to go again.

A fantastic place , views amazing, pool amazing, pool man came to check on the condition of the water he was very good at his job , thank you , caretaker very helpful too helping with the BBQ. Unfortunately my husband and I both had a mishap on the stairs at the very bottom so I would recommend to take care . But we had a fantastic week thank you

When we realised we couldn’t get abroad this year we decided to find a uk holiday home with a pool. To be honest we ended up at eagles nest by default- it was available on the very week we needed, it was reduced a bit for that week and those views!! We all felt very at home and comfy all week. Very well equipped with plenty of crocks and cutlery which so many holiday homes lack! There is a very steep drive down to the house but as soon as you get out you see the views!! Worth mentioning there is a full shower room/wc off the gym, and a separate shower and wc near the pool - we did use these as the en suites are both baths (one has shower attachment so you can sit down for shower). The caretaker was very helpful and responsive as was the owner. The gardener was also very helpful with ensuring there were logs for us to buy for fire pit. Sky tv and a huge collection of dvds so we enjoyed a family movie every night in the amazingly huge and comfortable lounge! Loved the eclectic range of artwork all around the house and honestly lost count of how many spitfires we saw! The Battle of Britain memorial is well worth a walk up the hill for and you also have a great view of the house. We loved the Folkestone Arm harbour area - been done so well with lots of street food shacks etc. also loved the old high street (creative quarter I think it’s called). We also had a wonderful day out at Port Lymphe animal park - I’ve left review on trip advisor so won’t put on here too. Overall a very lovely week! We were lucky enough to get a few very hot and sunny days and we really could have been in a villa somewhere with the huge terrace. Whilst it is dog friendly we chose not to take ours which we were pleased about as he would have had to be tethered outside as there are areas where a dog could easily start scrambling down the cliff - you are very high up! Finally the views - cannot stress how amazing they are! You are literally looking across to France and down over Folkestone harbour - fabulous!!!

Let’s start with the good stuff - this location is amazing, the view is unbelievable and so relaxing to sit within. We loved to sit in the garden and just look over Folkestone / the channel with a drink … we then popped into the pool with the kids and had a great routine. The bad - this house could do with a touch up in all honesty. Plenty of furniture/ seating areas, but needed the floors levelling up stairs, kitchen redoing etc etc … I would have giving this place 10/10 if that was sorted. Otherwise, best staycation we’ve had in a long time.

Eagles Nest is an amazing place to stay. The views are outstanding over to France. The pool kept everyone entertained. The owner sent over a very informative welcome pack before we went and were very helpful and accommodating. We were lucky enough to see the Spitfire flying overhead. All of the bedrooms were comfy and also had amazing views.

An exceptional location. Private, quiet and not overlooked in any direction. The pool and gym were amazing. The only recommendation is the pans are a bit random. Could do with more lids that fit and a better selection. Fabulous new cooking range and dishwasher. We had a wonderful week watching spitfires and scenery.
