What makes this area so special

For days out you are spoiled for choice! Pett is in 1066 country and the whole area is crammed with walks and delights to discover for all. Within walking distance by road or a stroll through the fields there are 2 pubs - the 16th Century Two Sawyers (0.5m), and the Royal Oak (1m). The beaches and cliffs of Fairlight Cove and Pett Level are only 2 miles from the cottage, and Winchelsea Beach is 5 miles (also offering fishing lakes). There is fantastic bird watching around the Pett Ponds and the Royal Military Canal, and also at the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (8m). As well as Rye, also a short drive away is the vibrant, historic seaside town of Hastings. You will find all the shops you need in old Hastings with narrow streets called The Twittens, packed with cafes, quirky shops and restaurants where you can enjoy a morning coffee in the sun or browse the interesting stores. For those a little more adventurous, windsurfing and kitesurfing can be enjoyed at Camber Sands (lessons available) - and Pett Level for those with experience.
