What makes this area so special

Dungeness is located in an un-spoilt area on the southernmost corner of the bay that stretches from Folkestone to Rye. There are some beautiful walks to explore the wild landscape, and experience the beauty of the sea and the enormous skies. The Old Lighthouse is a popular visitor attraction, as is the Romney, Hythe Dymchurch steam railway which passes close by with the miniature steam train meandering along the coast to Hythe, a wonderful way to enjoy Kent’s scenery. There are two pubs on the reserve, The Britannia and The Pilot, and the unique ’Fish Hut’ selling caught-on-the day fresh fish. The wonderful former smuggler’s town of Rye with its choice of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants is well worth a visit and only 10 miles away.

Very professional & efficient. Had confidence in them. First holiday cottage when I didn’t want to immediately explore the locale. Happy to enjoy the environment and the fog station. Loved the iconic designer furniture.

Yes they were very good, did try to find out if there had been anyone who had stayed in the particular property to get more info Sadley no one had. Fabulous location, right on the beach, no expense had been spared in the decor, furniture and fittings... We will definitely return just so comfortable and peaceful. The bathroom would be a bit of a challenge for someone less able as to get in the shower it was quite a high climb over a wooden bath.

I have booked through Mulberry Cottages before. They offer a splendid service. They are not at all robotic or false like a lot of things these days Top location. Quality conversion. Very high standard fittings and fixtures. Beautiful wooden baths A few jobs building up; blown bulbs, faulty switches, missing louvres. Nothing to spoil a stay but takes it down from 5* Oh, **** bed. Feels like £50 out of IKEA 10 years ago

Easy booking online and good communication. would certainly use them again Fantastic accommodation and fantastic location. However, there were many of the ceiling lights that did not work, which did not matter in the living area as there were other lights, but in the shower it was almost dangerous. The owner did send an electrician, but he was unable to fix the problem until the last night of our stay, so we decided that we would prefer not to have another evening interrupted. The other disappointment was that the Bose sound system that was featured in the description was broken and did no play CDs. We did report this but nothing was done. This was a shame as this was to be a big part of our entertainment and I have an equally good sound system at home which I could have taken with me had I known. I would also warn people that although the cooking facilities are ok, many pots and pans, there are no scissors (difficult to open packets), the salt and pepper pots were empty, no cleaning materials, so I couldn’t even properly wipe up any spills in the kitchen, no washing up liquid for things that might not be suitable for the dishwasher. Having said all that, I would stay in this property again as we had a very relaxing break.

An excellent booking service but the wrong contact number for the owner was sent which was a pity as had to contact when roof leaked. Not suitable for elderly, infirm or vertically challenged people as there is difficulty getting into the shower and up the step to enter building. Only ONE hand towel - what do you dry your hair on and hands in kitchen ?? Unhygenic ! Beautiful building, quiet but (not the fault of the owner) men peeing against the fence. Ugh ! And the weather was fantastic. Pity there is no proper TV as got fed up with the buffering.

very user friendly and helpful stunning location and setting, high spec on all items in the building. Could have a few more utilities such as a dustpan and brush and had to ask for a hairdryer

Good service, easy to book, high standard property. The only reason it is not 5 stars is the information about the building was minimal although adequate. Beautiful location and setting, lovely building obviously thoughtfully converted, and really relaxing to stay in. Excellent place to relax and enjoy the big skies - the scenery goes by the many windows as the sky, the sea and the weather changes constantly
