"This charming cottage is on the outskirts of the lovely village of Benenden set in the heart of the Kent countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Kent. With two pubs a village shop and a butchers you may not ever need to leave This holiday cottage is a converted barn style and is ideally situated to explore this beautiful area near to Benenden School. Furnished to a very high standard this pretty holiday cottage is light and spacious offering a good standard of self catering holiday accommodation."

    What makes this area so special

    Great location for exploring the stunning Weald of Kent and yet with two popular pubs and a quintessential English cricket green, you may not choose to leave Benenden village at all! Sissinghurst Castle and Scotney Castle are both close by and for some wonderful shopping head to Tunbridge Wells where there is a great range of independent shops and the charming Pantiles to explore. There are several vineyards and cider farms nearby where you can take a tour or just have a tasting.

      The cottage is very comfortable and relaxing and our son loved the sofa bed. The area to sit outside is really picturesque and adjacent to the owner’s beautiful garden so it is a peaceful and convenient place to stay. We stay in lots of cottages but this one is extra special. We’ll try and go again.

      Lovely selection of cottages and very helpful (particularly on the phone) when arranging the booking. A delightful cottage in a lovely part of The Weald. Well equipped and located in a peaceful spot. An excellent base for exploring all that the area has to offer (gorgeous gardens, lovely market towns and a steam railway for us aficionados!)

      . I would have no hesitation in using the company again, and recommending them to my friends and family. The booking process was easy, and information about related ’add ons’ helpful. A beautifully, well equiped barn conversion, very suitable for 2+ lovely facilities, comfortable big bed! warm and friendly greeting on arrival, with fresh flowers and a home made cake...Situated in the County of Kent, very close to beautiful National Trust properties, and famous gardens. What more could you want?

      unkompiziert und übersichtlich, gutenAuswahlmöglichkeiten, korrekte Belegungsangaben.. Ein sehr nettes, geräumiges Häuschen an einem gepflegten Garten, der weitläufige Park nebenan mit großzügigen Aussichten lädt nicht nur zu einem Abendspaziergang ein. Sophie gibt das Gefühl, zu Hause anzukommen, die Ausstattung ist sauber, gepflegt und geschmackvoll hergerichtet.

      Liked your website - clear and easy to use. When I made the booking, the girl I spoke to was friendly and helpful. I have appreciated not being bombarded with constant emails subsequently and would use you again. I would also recommend your company. Very much enjoyed staying at Freshwater Barn. We were warmly greeted by the very friendly owner and her dogs. The cottage is very private despite being in the owners’ garden, is beautifully clean, well decorated and dog friendly. We particularly liked being able to walk our dog in the school park straight from the house. Would be happy to return and would recommend to others.

      Everythings was arranged excellent. The cottage was wonderfull for a couple. The surroundings were great for walking. The owners were very kind and their pets lovely. We had a very nice stay
