Heron Barn

Had a super week at this gorgeous barn in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room in bedroom and lounge area for our baby son. It was clean and had nice welcome pack, my husband loved the coffee!! Would of liked some clothes hooks for coats etc. but such a minor thing it didn't impact on the holiday at all. Would definitely come back.

Lovely place in Hollingbourne - very close to the M20 but far enough to not have noise. The stay was lovely, good to have a dish washer and washing machine. TV controls were a bit hit-and-miss £5 on Amazon, sorted new remote :) Owners were great, very reactive - we had a smoke alarm "battery low" warning, fixed same day (good friday) so very very helpful. Heating had us for a while, there are thermostats above TV in lounge Very enjoyable stay!

Heron Barn is a comfortable cottage in a beautiful location, from where you can easily acces several hiking routes. The local pubs are excellent as well.

Lovely rustic barn cottage in lovely rural location. I very much enjoyed staying here. Shared swimming pool was a huge asset. In fact I had it all to myself when I used it. Minor quibble: kitchen equipment was a bit basic. Recommended.

Was lovely and peaceful very clean only saw the proporietor once when booking in, he was friendly and welcoming. The barn was like a sauna at night with only one small window that opened in the bedroom and 4 windows that didn't open had to buy a fan to try to cool the cottage down. Not much power in the shower. Strange opening times for the pool 10am to 4pm so most days we couldn't use it as much as we wanted to. Good and central area for site seeing

Wonderful little place, we thought it all delightful! Only blip was that the village store had closed down during the time of our stay, so we had to go a couple of miles or so for basic groceries (though this is of course no fault of the property) but we gather the store will be re-opening soon, which would be great. Bed is a double (4'6''), not a king-size (5'0'') as stated on the description, but it is very beautiful and comfortable! Having access to the very lovely pool during the heatwave was an absolute delight! Our little dog was made very welcome, the hosts are kind, thoughtful and very helpful. Local pubs are fantastic, with especially excellent pizza at the nearest one! Overall, we loved it and will definitely want to come again.
