What makes this area so special
Biddenden is 1.5 miles away, where amongst other eateries you will find The West House restaurant for fine dining and The Red Lion and Three Chimneys pubs. Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, Biddenden Vineyard and the famous Chapel Down Vineyard (open for both tours and tasting) are all a short drive, and Pashley Manor and Great Dixter gardens are both within easy reach. Nearby Tenterden is a charming market town and has its own steam train (The Kent and Sussex Railway) that follows a wonderful scenic route to moated Bodiam Castle. Gastropubs abound in Tenterden, and as you head towards the coast the fish is excellent both from fishermen on the beach and from the many restaurants that are dotted throughout the area. Ashford is 10 miles away and Maidstone within 15 miles, making this an excellent base to discover the local area for a short break, or longer stays for business. High speed trains run regularly from Ashford to London in just over an hour; or there are trains every half hour from Headcorn station (within a 10 minute drive).
