About Kingsdown Cottage

Introduction

"We are delighted to present this very special and unique beachside cottage beautifully restored - very \\seaside chic\\ Capturing the Bohemian charm of an original Victorian fisherman’s cottage whitewash wood floorboards an eclectic mix of antique furnishings against modern contemporary splashes of colour and not forgetting the wonderfully picturesque picket fence.\nKingsdown Cottage is nestled among a cluster of cottages on a private road. Take a stroll along the seafront edged with many candy coloured beach huts. For those looking to escape the kitchen or indeed the BBQ why not try one of the two pubs at either end of the street with a glass of wine and the catch of the day whilst watching the sunset from the terrace at The Zetland Arms. The dramatic cliffs at St Margaret’s bay or the striking historic sites in Deal and Walmer are not far."

A lovely cosy cottage. Clean and welcoming. Too much clutter in the cupboards no room to put food etc. But close to the beach and a great location, just more cupboard space would make this excellent

Found them very helpful in dealing with my specific requirements. The housekeeper was excellent and solved a problem with the tv aerial quickly, and got a technician round to the house. This cottage is beautiful, and very thoughtfully and beautiful finished. It is well equipped and very pretty. Cant find fault with it. It shows that it belongs to a family who love it. The location is superb- right on the beach. No need to drive at all whilst there unless you want to. Lots of walks from house. Zetland arms pub great fo food or drink. Front garden for pm sun and people watching. Nervous about giving it such a glowing review in case it’s swamped!! Would def return ** many thanks to house keeper and owner. Only point to make is that it is a cottage, and if you were there with teenagers and 5 of you, sofas would be a bit tight as they are quite small. It was just me and best friend and ideal for us **

I have used Mulberry on many occasions and each time the service has always been professional and helpful. The staffs are effective and will seek to meet my requirements. They are knowledgable of their portfolio of properties and have found their assessment accurate when I have booked properties. Great property, superb location.

All communications were good and everything worked very well. According to the Mulberry Website there is no mention of pets being allowed at this cottage but when I arrived there were notices saying pets were allowed. There wasn’t any negative effects but I would never pick a cottage that allowed pets so Mulberry should look in to this and update their website The cottage itself and the situation is lovely. However they need to improve the towel situation. Only one very small bath towel per person for a week and they looked very old. The house next door is being renovated and guests should be warned regarding noise in the morning which may wake them up!!
