About Manor Court

Introduction

"Manor Court is a lovely grade 2 listed farmhouse that sits in the extensive grounds of Cold Ashton Manor - a beautiful Elizabethan Cotswold Manor House. A private gravel courtyard surrounded by listed stone barns and outbuildings greets you as you arrive. No longer a working farm and so is peaceful and quiet you can enjoy the private garden to the rear on sunny days for al fresco eating.\nThe house has just been tastefully restored to a high standard with oak and stone flooring throughout the ground floor a bespoke kitchen Everhot cooker and open fire in the drawing room. There is a dining room with table for 8.\nUpstairs there are 4 bedrooms with luxury hotel quality beds. The master bedroom has a super king French style Oak bed and views over the private garden and Cotswold countryside.\nBetween the months of May and October there is also access to the Manor’s 12m heated outdoor swimming pool by arrangement. This beautiful pool is covered by a very large airdome and so can be used in all weathers but in hot summers the dome is removed. Guests are also welcome to use the Manor tennis court.\nManor Court is approximately 10 minutes from the world heritage city of Bath by car with its excellent restaurants art galleries boutique shopping and exquisite architecture. There are good public houses in the local villages.\nIt sits close to the Cotswold way surrounded by magnificent countryside for walking in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It sits at the southern end of the Cotswold plateau and a fantastic base for cycling on quiet country lanes.\nThe owners are dog lovers so well behaved dogs are welcome There is even an outside hot and cold hose for dog showers after muddy walks"

Mulberry Cottages informed us by email 10 days before our trip that there had been a double booking and we could either cancel our trip or change the dates. I had to call and chase on numerous occasions to try and resolve the issue. Incredibly inconvenient and time consuming for myself and my group of 8 adults plus kids. Manor Court was beautiful and I would thoroughly recommend it for groups and families. Loads of space, great garden and lovely to have use of the pool. This was an alternative booking found just a few days before our date of travel due to our original accommodation elsewhere being double booked. It wssnt the location we intended on going to but we were pleasantly surprised by the house and the surrounding area.
