What makes this area so special

Set on 1 on the 150 Cotswold’s lakes Moorhen Lake House is the perfect base to enjoy everything that is on offer in the area. On the lake, and a few steps from your door, you will find a small brasserie offering a selected menu and bar and also a watersports base where you can go wet and wild and try your hand at waterskiing, wakeboarding or ringo riding.
If this all seems a little fast-paced then there are so many other options to try. You will find sailing, canoeing, and paddle boarding on the next lake. Bike hire, angling and even the biggest inland beach in the UK all within a mile or two.
The biggest attraction of the area is the walking and wildlife, no matter what time you visit the lakes the scenery is always changing and there is something new to see every day. On line chat was helpful but we received no instructions or directions to the property we were renting. Also, slow to respond when emailed queries. Property was very well equipped. Shame only 1 shower. Hot tub not to temperature on arrival so couldn’t use it until the following afternoon! Owner was very pleasant and helpful and came through with discounted spa passes. Accommodation is a little tired around the edges considering what we paid! Overall a pleasant stay.

A beautiful location with great facilities . We loved the house the only problem was the level of cleanliness, on the surface it looked fine but closure inspection revealed cob webs on the inside of some windows, the rim of the sink in the bathroom was black, the shower room door was difficult to close due to the wood rotting from water and the frame was black. Whilst the outside area was beautiful the floor wasn’t clean and we had to clean the chairs before sitting on them. A mop bucket was left on the decking but was filthy, this was a real shame as it is a beautiful location

The place we stayed was amazing and the host was great and extremely helpful. I have to say I found mulberry cottages very unhelpful. The service was pretty poor and the team came across very arrogant and not interested in helping us. I would recommend the host advertising elsewhere. Great house, so clean and beautiful location. Host heated up hot tub before arrival and everything was great! Shower did leak a little under the door but otherwise perfect!

The house was lovely and set in a lovely location on the lake. Number of lovely villages/towns only minutes away as well such as Bourton-on-the-water, Burford, Cirencester, Bibury, Broadway and Stow-on-the-Wold which are definitely worth taking the time to see. The guy gave us a nice welcome when we arrived at the house, recommending local pubs etc and showed us how everything work which was really nice. No attachment sent with cottage details after payment and couldn’t get through to phone lines as they had trouble with voice mailboxes. Website stated different opening time of phone line than email confirmation. Nice cottage with lovely views. Good furnishings and mostly clean. However we had to clean bathrooms on arrival as they weren’t to our standard. Bedroom curtains of second bedroom rather thin.
