Lucky to find this place as our long held for another house in Winchester was cancelled out of hand. That owner did us a favour as this house is far better located and equipped than the other one. Lovely pub on the corner, cathedral close near, and traffic free walk to high st. Only downsides: lovely wood burner but no companion set; nice bathroom but high bath side to negotiate and no anti-slip mat; generally very clean but some ancient cobwebs lurking amongst the beams; great place for 2, really needs more cups and glasses for more people; permit parking spaces hard to find at times.

After a mix up with a hotel booking, we were lucky to be able to book Pemberly at short notice. The cottage was immaculately clean and beautifully renovated with a very well equipped kitchen. It also had a large garden (though not used in December). The cottage was cosy and warm and the location was perfect - a very short walk to the cathedral and town centre, and to the lovely Wykeham Arms pub. Just to note that, although it wasn't a problem for us, the fairly steep steps may mean that the property will be challenging for families with very young children or elderly guests. We had a wonderful stay and would choose to stay here again.

Very cosy and comfortable cottage with lots of character (though being old, it's suffering from general damp and wonky floors in the upstairs bedroom). Our daughter was none too keen on the absence of a door to the top bedroom - not sure that's mentioned in the house details). The location is fantastic - within easy walking distance of the heart of Winchester, so cathedral, shops, pubs and restaurants all easily accessible. We were able to park the car nearby at all times. We thought the arrival time after 5pm and leaving time of 9am were a little unreasonable, even with Covid cleaning regulations, as the cottage is quite small and unfortunately just this would put my husband and daughter off staying there again.

A nice enough house as “Air B&B” and a wonderful location. Rather expensive and two important points - no hand rail on the wall of first flight of stairs and more importantly, no anti slip mat in the bath. My brother found this very nerve wracking…

The whole process was made very seemless by the team. The previous occupants had taken the parking permit which could have easily been an issue, however the team dealt with this in time for our arrival. Great service. As for the accommodation this was wonderful, one of the best locations in Winchester to really feel part of the history of such a magical city. The house was spotless and all the rooms felt exceptionally cozy. The kitchen is truly wonderful with it’s wooden beams. All in all a wonderful stay

Great website, well photographed cottages giving a true picture of your accommodation. I think if I could change or add anything it would be a simple email to say that the retainer had been paid back into our bank account so that we know all was good with us as customers. Absolutely great cottage, beautifully presented; warm, cosy and delightful. Winchester is a very pretty town with country walks, good range of restaurants and fabulous shops.

very good service Just great, perfectly located and beautifully decorated. Would have been great to have had a plug in kettle (so that it did not need supervision), and it took us a couple of days to get the house warm enough. We are from the north of Scotland so used to wearing lots of layers inside but it was still cold. Could have done with more cutlery and plates (only 4 of everything) as there was not really enough to use the dishwasher, so we just washed up by hand as we went along. Other than the temperature these were minor niggles and we had a really good time.

Booking with Mulberry was efficient and they provided lots of information on the cottage. The description and pictures on their website were a true reflection of the cottage. The cottage was modern, clean, quiet and very well equipped and in a great location near to all the attractions of Winchester.
