Whitstable is a small compact town, easy to walk everywhere - the working fishing harbour, art galleries, pubs with live music, the beach and the independent boutique shops.
Our first stay in Whitstable and Periwinkle Cottage was perfect! Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, very well equipped, a wonderful log fire, cute little garden and so close to everything! Claire, the cottage contact was just lovely too answering questions prior to arrival. Highly recommend and we will def return xx

We loved Periwinkle Cottage. Perfect location, a real home from home. Beautiful new bathroom with amazing shower, lovely garden room, comfy beds, everything you could ask for and great for our dog Otis. Would highly recommend!

A beautiful cottage just across behind the main high street so easy access to a myriad of shops and close to beach as well. Beautiful town, highly recommend!

Nice relaxing holiday, taken just before the country lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak. Good public transport nearby so we didn't need to use the car, which was important as one of the biggest drawback of the cottage was that getting a parking space nearby was difficult - street parking.

The property is exactly as described and contains everything needed for an enjoyable 4 night stay. It was clean and well furnished. The rear extension was particularly welcome with the adjacent shower/toilet and the kitchen/dining room spacious and practical. The lounge was cosy and comfortable but there is no DVD player which is listed on the specs. Yes it could do with a little updating and refurbishment but this didn't bother us at all. However I would suggest a new fridge is purchased and although we managed to turn on the central heating it was a little difficult to control. The main bed was a little small but the mattress was comfortable. Street parking was okay (we may have been lucky) and the property is very handy for central Whitstable and the coast, which is lovely and ideal for taking your doggy for a walk.

Really lovely place to stay, so clean and great location. Having somewhere that was dog friendly but didn’t smell doggy was great and the whole place was homely and immaculate.
