"The setting for this supremely comfortable and spacious house which combines country style with contemporary living is truly marvellous.\nThe traditional red sandstone longhouse dates back to 1755 and has been lovingly renovated to create a wonderful space for you to enjoy with loved ones. You will find plenty of space for everyone. A large family contemporary kitchen ensures entertaining is a pleasure whilst the sitting room and library both with log burners are places to sit and relax. The real gem of the house the stylish orangery has bi-fold doors looking over the large pretty courtyard garden and is a wonderfully light and bright dining space for special occasions. A bedroom with en-suite can be found on the ground floor perfect for anyone not wanting to venture up the stairs. The other four of the five bedrooms are located upstairs two with en-suites and the family bathroom.\nEnjoy the country walks on your doorstep or venture out and explore the area you are only 15 minutes from Penrith and 25 minutes from Ullswater. You could always stay at home and relax on the terrace enjoying the sweeping views"

The large raised landscaped garden is fully enclosed with views across to the Cumbrian fells. Access to the garden is by steps from the main paved courtyard at the back of the house and a secluded courtyard outside the library. A raised deck provides unparalleled views of the Cumbrian landscape. There is a table and chairs and a coal BBQ.

This will be collected automatically 7 days prior to arrival and refunded (unless a damage claim is received) 7 days after the end of your stay.
