The neutral colour scheme and dark oak effect flooring make this a very attractive and charming holiday cottage.\nThe open plan kitchensitting room in this holiday cottage in Kent is double height with large French windows making the most of the wonderful open views across the owner’s fields with grazing sheep magnificent oak trees and pond. The patio area is perfect for sitting and relaxing on a summer’s evening. A great area for walking and a large variety of lovely attractions to see and experience\nThis cottage has been rated 4 star by Visit England."

    What makes this area so special

    Wittersham is on the very edge of Romney Marsh renowned for its big skies and wildlife with many canals and waterways and the famous Saxon Way to explore. The smugglers town of Rye is close by with its independent shops, cosy cafes and antique shops to explore. You can buy fresh fish from the harbour or enjoy one of the many fish restaurants in the area. Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst Castle and Scotney Castle are three of the many castles in the area, as Kent has more castles than any other county with each having its own unique experience.

      The cottage was excellent, clean, and easy to use. The owners were lovely people and made sure we were all right. We would definitely recommend them and will probably go again ourselves As per my previous comments

      Mulberry Cottages war in jeder Weise behilflich, auskunftsfreudig und serviceorientiert. Sämtliche Abwicklungen haben verlässlich und hervorragend geklappt. Roundel Barn ist DER perfekte Urlaubsstandort für zwei Leute, die die südenglische Landschaft lieben, an Geschichte und Gärten interessiert sind und sich zugleich Erholung wünschen. Alle Ziele sind bequem in weniger als einer Autostunde zu erreichen. Man kann aber auch gut und gerne im Cottage bleiben und einen bummeligen Tag genießen. Das kleine, liebevoll restaurierte und eingerichtete Cottage ist allerbesten ausgestattet: in der gut sortierten modernen Küche findet sich alles und mehr für Selbstversorger, am Esstisch lässt es sich wunderbar speisen, das Schlafzimmer hat viel Atmosphäre, ein extrem bequemes, großes Bett und viel Stauraum, das Wohnzimmer ist gemütlich und lädt an Regentagen zum Verweilen ein. Direkt vor dem Cottage liegen eine schöne Terrasse, viele andere Sitzflächen für Sonnenanbeter und Schattensucher sowie ein herrlich weitläufiges Grundstück mit gemächlich grasenden Schafen. Alles ist tiptop in Ordnung und lädt zur Erholung ein. Das Vermieterpaar wohnt in Sichtweite in einem großen bemerkenswerten Haus, umgeben von verschiedenen, liebevoll gepflegten Gärten. Das Ehepaar ist von ausgesuchter Herzlichkeit und in jeder Weise um das Wohlergehen seiner Gäste bemüht. Der warmherzige Kontakt und die wunderbaren Surroundings waren uns ein schönes Willkommen (samt gefülltem Kühlschrank für das erste Frühstück). Wir haben die Gespräche sehr genossen, uns pudelwohl gefühlt und uns jeden Tag nach einem Ausflug auf die Rückkehr in unser tolles Urlaubsdomizil gefreut.

      Answered my queries promptly It’s a little gem. Immaculately clean, well thought out accommodation in lovely surroundings. We ate outside every morning and evening looking across the fields and distant views.The owners Kathy and Pip are wonderful. They have thought of everything and more, to make your stay perfect. The supplies and welcome goodies they provided were second to none. They are genuinely friendly, welcoming people and nothing is too much trouble. We were sorry to leave.

      We hebben een geweldige week gehad in Kent. Roundel Barn heeft alles wat je van een luxe vakantiehuis mag verwachten. En daarbij ook nog eens een zeer vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw. We zijn zeker van plan terug te keren naar deze prachtige plek!

      Very good service from the start of booking the holiday and receiving instructions for directions and access to the barn. Excellent Accommodation. The barn was clean and very comfortable, it has all your home comforts and was in perfect surroundings for a relaxing holiday.
