lovely little cottage, ideal for one or two, good facilities and equipment. Didn’t give a 5 as no heating in the toilet/shower room, won’t be an issue if staying on the summer and although garden enclosed it is not direct from the property so had to hold/release dogs to go into the garden rather than just opening the door and letting them out into the garden. charging per dog is excessive, one price should be charged

They are very quick to answer any querys and can speak to them after 5, emails on time, and informative We really enjoyed Stable Cottage and the views, lake, walks and the woodburner. So near Rye and Winchelsea village and the sea. The Queens Head is very friendly pub with good food, and there is a egg farm 2 mins from the cottage. It’s very peaceful and quite. The fridge did keep as awake at night.

Would definitely look at the staircase that was the only issue other than the gripper rod around the bottom of the beams at the bottom of the bed are poking through and I did cut my heel on them !

We stayed in Stable Cottage in Icklesham for five days in February half term, and we were not disappointed! The key holder was lovely and showed us where everything was in the property, and how to get the log burner going. The accommodation itself was great, it was small but we felt it was perfect for a couples retreat and had absolutely everything you could need. We loved the layout of the cottage, and the bed in the beams was lovely too! The location was perfect, ten minutes drive to Rye and ten minutes to Hastings the other way. We went on a few lovely walks from the house as we were very lucky with the weather (it is surrounded by fields and countryside) and visited the local pubs a few times which were The Queens Head and the Robin Hood, both of which were in walking distance - about ten mins to Robin Hood and about 30/40 mins to the Queens Head, which had fantastic views. The home owners both seemed lovely, we accidentally broke something in the property but they assured us we wouldn’t have to pay as it was only £10 to replace - very kind! We would love to return some time in the future :) I thought the accommodation was a very good price, as it had everything you could need for a holiday, as well as being in a beautiful countryside location, perfect for walking or visiting the nearby Rye and Hastings.

Very professional Lovely well equipped quirky cottage. Stairs very steep, to a lovely comfy bed but care had to be taken getting in and out of bed.

They answered my questions quickly and the whole booking process was very straightforward. Beautiful setting for this open plan cottage. Had pretty much everything we needed. Log fire, good shower, huge bed and lovely views. Local pubs are better for a drink rather than food but Rye is a short drive away.Perfect for a relaxing holiday.
