About Surrey Hills Barn

Introduction

"\\What’s so great about Surrey Hills Barn is while it is hidden away in the middle of the countryside where you can forget about the modern world and get closer to nature it’s not too far from civilisation so you really can enjoy the best of both worlds.\\ - Surrey Life Magazine April 2018 \nIf you’re looking for a quality retreat in the Surrey Hills within easy reach of London then look no further. With a fabulous footpath on your doorstep leading to miles of Surrey Hills walks and fantastic country pubs this property will delight. The barn is tucked away at the end of a typical Surrey lane yet within 10 minutes’ drives of the village of Wescott with its village shop and bakers and the larger town of Dorking just a 15 minutes’ drive.\nInside is a huge open plan living space with beamed ceilings. It’s a library a snooker room a dining room and sitting room all in one There are discreet skylights that let the light flood in from above and the property is well insulated and therefore very energy efficient. The compact open plan kitchen is fully equipped and each of the three beautifully furnished bedrooms one downstairs and two upstairs has its own private bathroom or shower-room.\nOutside is a terrace and pretty garden area for guests. Adjacent to the holiday property is the owners beautiful medieval farmhouse built in 1464. On the grounds is a large pond home to many fish and ducks and regularly visited by herons. This truly is a rural escape where you’ll meet a host of wildlife from badgers and deer to ducks doves and bees and even the enormous carp in the pond. The Surrey Barn is your piece of the country will all the modern comforts of home."

Excellent service, friendly and efficient throughout. A beautiful setting, comfortable and perfect for our wedding weekend. The bride and bridesmaids were thrilled to have such lovely accommodation to get ready on the big day and the photos are amazing! Thank you.

The hassle when the company HomeAway got involved and took £120 out of my account without permission. I spent too much time getting that reimbursed when It should never have been taken in the first place and formed a negative first impression of a company I’ve not used before. Also the Mulberry Experience requests were not followed through. Barn was lovely, warm and clean and lovely location. The hosts were welcoming and told us to ask if we needed anything. We didn’t feel comfortable doing this over a Christmas period but would have liked more basics such as a pair of scissors, a jug, etc especially when cooking a Christmas dinner for 6! Fridge freezer was a fridge and ice tray and kitchen was very small.

Excellent Stayed 3 Nights - April 216. Surrey Hills Barn is an exceptionally warm, cosy and very well equipped cottage nestled into the SurreyHills, with easy access to Dorking and Guildford. The barn is of a very high standard and the owners couldnt have been more welcoming. Lots of wonderful home touches that made the stay very pleasuable and enjoyable. Would recommned to both couples and families and the barn easily accomodates 6 people. Do require a car to stay at this cottage but would expect this, situated where is. Very quiet and peaceful location. Had wonderful three night stay with two boys aged 7 and 4 - just wished could have stayed longer. The owners are absolutely delightful.

At last a correctly updated website so we didn’t waste time thinking we had somewhere booked, when we didn’t. Really beautiful barn conversion in lovely surroundings, with incredibly kind and helpful owners.
