Swallows Nest

The shallows nest was lovely and just what we needed for a quiet holiday. The welcome from Adrian was very informative. Adrian and Jean we very accommodating. We will certainly be returning.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Could do with some warming up with some pictures and more comfortable seating in lounge area. Didn’t feel homely.

We had an amazing stay at Swallows Nest for our wedding and mini-moon. The cottage had everything we needed and in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. The coffee and morning pastries at The Twig, which is the road from the cottage, were delicious. We loved exploring all the public footpaths on our doorstep and stopping off at the pub in Coln St Aldwyns half way was a highlight. Lovely accommodation very clean and everything you needed. Lots of lovely extras left for you, Prosecco, biscuits, tea, coffee and lots more. Great footpaths. Location great if you don’t rely on shops. brilliant if you are good at planing your meals in advance.

Swallow's Nest is a modern, well equipped cottage in the charming village of Bibury. We used it to visit the local area including the lovely villages of Bourton on the Water, Stow on Wold and the town of Circencester - all recommended. The pub next door was very handy for an ad-hoc drink. These was some road noise during the day but as we were out most of the time this did not impact us too much. Would recommend to others.

An outstanding cottage with the most amazing view of open countryside. Very clean with such a lovely patio area to sit on sun beds and have breakfast outside. The location allows you to get the best of bidbury but escape back to the quiet area of the cottage at the edge of the villiage. The cottage needs a bit more cooking equipment and the bed was a bit lumpy However we had to isolate due to covid so the very nice and welcoming cottage owners could do little to address issues such as the dishwasher breaking down. However this is a still an extraordinary and high quality cottage with so many places to visit nearby.

A perfect retreat for two if you are looking for a cosy, quietly located cottage with lovely views. Contemporary, clean, open plan living area with log burner and well equipped kitchen. Light and airy with bedroom and shower room upstairs. Discrete central heating through skirting was a little noisy at night but kept cottage warm. The surrounding small garden is a bonus although we did not use as visited in November but weather was superb and loved the fact that there are excellent walks on the doorstep. Bibury is charming with a trout farm and shop that sells basic provisions, the excellent Swan hotel for a delicious Sunday lunch although did not try the Catherine Wheel pub as it was closed. The hosts Adrian and Jean were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend. Perfectly located near other Cotswold villages.

Located in a very pretty village, with walks on the doorstep. Very open to plan (no door between upstairs and downstairs rooms). Comfortable and clean with a log burner to keep you warm. Netflix on the TV. We really enjoyed our stay here, thanks!

Wow. As you pull in you are presented with a pretty cottage garden. You then see your beautiful converted barn. The experience continues, but I don’t want to spoil how delightful the rest of it is for future customer. You will not be disappointed!
