I first booked and paid online for a 2-week stay at a particular cottage and I received confirmation of the booking via e-mail the same day only to be contacted the following day and informed that the cottage owner’s had cancelled the provisional booking due to unforeseen circumstances. Thus, the availability of the cottage was not correct/up-to-date online. Soon after I received an e-mail with alternative cottages available for the dates I had chosen. Having informed a Mulberry Cottages representative of my choice I was then e-mailed that the cottage owner had notified that it was not in fact available from the date I required it but 3 days later. Again, the availability of the cottage was not correct/up-to-date! I then chose again from a new list of cottages available for my dates but decided to change my stay to 1-week only. This time the Mulberry Cottages representative checked and confirmed availability with the cottage owner prior to any processing of the booking. Thankfully this time the booking was made and fulfilled. Many phone calls, e-mails and uncertainty for me could’ve been avoided if the availability of the cottages were maintained better online. The cottage was really lovely and cosy, ideal for our stay with our dog. The only thing that was a slight negative was the fact that it had no washing machine. The welcome basket was full of thoughtful and top quality items - much appreciated.

Easy to book and any request I had was sorted promptly, the girls in the office seemed more than happy to help answer any questions and knew the barn in detail. The cottage was really nice, very secluded and really good if you have a dog as the entire area is enclosed. You have direct walks from the cottage which are lovely. The cottage itself is very clean and although small it didn’t affect us as we spent most of our time outside having BBQs. Only issue for some would be the lack of signal you get on your phone.
