What you need to know
Nestled between Hythe and Folkestone on the Kent coast, Sandgate village itself has a good range of antique shops and is within a two minute walk of a cosmopolitan mix of restaurants and bars, all taking full advantage of the seafront location in Kent. Nearby Folkestone is home to the Harbour Arm (open April-October), a disused concrete ferry pier cleverly reused to host a tempting mix of pop up restaurants, bars, even a champagne filled lighthouse, and with bands playing throughout the weekends, as well as renowned restaurant Rocksalt.
