About The Brewhouse

Introduction

"Exposed woodwork and low ceilings give the house a very warm cottage character and is a great weekend or longer stay holiday venue all year round for you to enjoy in this stunning part of Hampshire. Originally part of the next door villa and pub the Brewhouse was used as a brewery until the end of world war 2.\nYou may still find that hops still grow wild in the garden and nearby hedgerows.\nModern interior fittings are perfectly balanced within the cottage which offers you a comfortable home from home feel with a delightful level of comfort that will have you winding down instantly after a busy day.\nThe living areas are complete with a roaring log burner in the sitting room a modern shabby chic kitchen with dining table for a delicious sociable meal and three upstairs bedrooms that help complete the country cottage feel. Outside there is a lovely terrace with BBQ that overlooks the gardens perfect for a warm evening and a spot of alfresco dining.\nWith the friendly owners onsite to help out if needed and the freedom of their wooded gardens to explore the Brewhouse will tick all your holiday and short break boxes."

The Brewhouse is located in the village of Sherfield English, just 10 minutes’ drive from the town of Romsey which is on the banks of the famous Test River and is a vibrant market town with thriving farmers market, historic buildings and a great sports centre with fun swimming rapids for the younger guests. Only 6 miles away is the famous Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World, a great day out for the whole family.
Just a few yards down the road is the Hatchet Inn, serving delicious food if you’re in need of a good meal and a little tipple when you don’t fancy cooking. There are also a variety of footpaths accessible from the cottage for easy access into the countryside around, if you are the adventurous walker.
Salisbury and it’s historical cathedral is just a short 20 minute drive away, where you can walk through the heart of Salisbury’s shopping and cultural heart. Stylish eateries and cafes’ are all around whilst Salisbury Cathedral and Salisbury Playhouse are on your must do list.
Of course, any visitor to this area will be keen to go and see Stonehenge, which is just a 40 minute drive away and perfect for a family excursion into the countryside. Unlike any structure on this earth, the mysterious stones continue to amaze holiday makers to this day, so make sure you get there early in the morning or late in the day to avoid the rush.
Longleat, England’s first safari park is a great day out for the all and of course a visit to the New Forest can’t go a miss and is one of the largest remaining areas of unenclosed forest, where ponies, donkeys and deer roam freely. With a wealth of places to explore, from beautiful gardens, museums, leisure and wildlife parks each season provides a change of scenery, from the rich deep colours of spring and summer to the seasons of mists and mellow fruitfulness.
If you enjoy high end dining, head for the famous ’Lime Wood’ that offer’s world class Italian food under the watchful eye of Angela Harnett, one of Gordon Ramsey’s protégées. Or try "The Pig" offering funky dining in glorious surroundings with 100% locally sourced ingredients.
The National Trust house at Mottisfont is only 10 minutes drive, with its world famous rose gardens and glorious grounds we would highly recommend you take an afternoon to visit. Located on the banks of the crystal clear waters of the River Test, famous for its trout, the house is also a perfect stop off point for walkers or cyclists.

The staff were courteous and friendly. The process was efficient and all our needs were catered for. I would also like to say how much we enjoyed our stay at The Brewhouse, and how kind and attentive the owners were. We would recommend The Brewhouse without hesitation. It is a lovely and spacious cottage, in an excellent location and is clean and tidy and well equipped. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and glad we returned to Mulberry Cottages. Will be booking our next holiday soon! Thanks a million! Ahmed and Shaima Al-Derzi Excellent and just as described in earlier comments. Highly recommended.
