About The Granary

Introduction

"A beautifully restored barn in the tiny hamlet of Milden in Suffolk The Granary which has been carefully renovated into a sumptuously comfortable contemporary holiday cottage. It looks out over a valley of unspoiled paddocks and pastures and this captivating setting is matched with the exquisite interiors under the gorgeous oak frame.\nEntering into the open plan living area the smart rotating wood burner sits boldly as a centrepiece which can be turned to face in any direction. Whether cooking dining or putting your feet up it radiates its cosy warmth to you. The main sitting area offers comfortable sofas and a reclaimed gym horse a wonderfully quirky piece of furniture in the corner. There is a second sitting area with two bucket armchairs and a smart TV and the dining space has a pretty farmhouse table and chairs. Interjected from the sitting room by oak pillars the kitchen is equipped with a full range of modern appliances yet keeps a rustic feel with natural wood worktops complimenting the old beams above.\nUpstairs features a sublime master bedroom - a generous space with large sleigh bed and an enticing en-suite bathroom. Next door there is a twin room with a wonderfully aesthetic and tactile curved wall. There is a further shower room downstairs meaning that two couples travelling together can enjoy the benefit of a bathroom each.\nOutside the bifold doors open onto a gravelled seating area decking and lawn overlooking the picturesque views. This rural corner of Suffolk in itself is an enticing place to visit for a self-catering retreat but the local area is a charming part of East Anglia and well worth exploring too. Head to Dedham Vale AONB or one of the many pretty market towns such Lavenham Long Melford and Hadleigh all a short drive."
