What you need to know

We very much hope that you are all looking forward to your stay with us at The Great Barn at Waternook. Arrival is from 4pm. Please read the information below very carefully, as without it you may not be able to gain access to Waternook's estate or The Great Barn. It is a good idea to print this email and attachment or have it saved to your phone. Just to let you know that we have a Playstation 4 in the Lake Room so do bring games if you should have (or not if you wish a quiet holiday!) Also, don't forget to bring your iPod or iPhone with you if you have music stored. There is a Bluetooth Media Hub' in your room and around the house. There is a CD/DVD player if you have music/films you wish to enjoy. WELCOME INFORMATION: on all you should need to know for The Great Barn are on the kitchen worktop to your left. Instructions for your room are in your bedroom.

NOTES: Additional House keys (one set per bedroom) are in the kitchen cupboard under the microwave. Each key has a black security alarm fob to activate and de-activate the alarm if the system is set. The WiFi password is: Greatbarn. Please note that WiFi in Ullswater [and The Lake District] can be painfully slow and unreliable due to the proximity of the mountains and of course the weather. Should you discover any damaged items in the property please do let us know via email upon arrival. We have a Sustainability Policy in place as we are in the Lake District National Park and it is a World Heritage Site. Please help us achieve our aspirations and follow our policy here: https://www.waternookonullswater.com/our-policies DEPARTURE We don't want you to think about this just now but when the time comes departure is at 10am and we would be grateful if you could ensure the property [and external areas including outdoor kitchen BBQ, terraces etc] is left clean and tidy with all lights and electronic equipment turned off and all doors and windows closed and locked. Please ensure all the spare keys are returned to the kitchen drawer with the main set being returned to the lock box outside, having first locked the door, and then jumble the code to ensure they are safe. Please do not take the keys home with you. Rubbish from the bins is to be put in the large bin at the end of the drive. The padlock code is 8888. Please remember to lock this after. Thank you kindly. As per previous correspondence your Good Housekeeping deposit will be returned to you pending a full damage inspection and all keys being returned. You are advised to familiarise yourself with our Terms and Conditions which can be found here.

A security deposit of £1,000 is required at this property. This will be collected automatically 7 days prior to arrival and refunded (unless a damage claim is received) 7 days after the end of your stay. Please note that your refunded security deposit will take 3-5 days to appear in your account. For your convenience, we’ll take this payment from the last card used to make payment to us. If you would prefer to use a different method of payment, please let us know before the security deposit is due.
