Introduction

"With uninterrupted views over the unique Dungeness landscape The Old Log Cabin calmly sits admiring views across the shingle to the lighthouse and out to sea. Originally two railway carriages and now clad in whitewashed wood with painted grey window frames this cosy retreat has been lovingly transformed into a three bedroom home yet still paying homage to its history with features such as the original shape of the carriage roofs and carriage door leading to one of the comfortable bedrooms.\nBeautifully simplistic the spacious living room furnished with hand picked vintage and retro pieces it’s the ideal spot to unwind sheltering from the elements during the winter months in front of the wood burner or throwing open the bi-fold doors come summer with either season allowing you inspiring views out across Dungeness. Leading through to the master bedroom the vintage waiting room seats have been amply placed for you to gaze upon the lighthouse or simply sit and spot the abundant bird life all around. Into the master with double aspect windows giving you different views of the landscape and with a porthole overlooking the prominent Dungeness lookout tower. With two further bedrooms finished with your comfort in mind with Hypnos divan mattresses to lay upon come sundown.\nSitting directly on Dungeness beach the natural open garden leads out onto the expanse of beach and to the sea. What makes this area so special

Dungeness is located in an unspoilt area on the southernmost corner of the bay that stretches from Folkestone to Rye. There are some beautiful walks to explore the wild landscape, and experience the beauty of the sea and the enormous skies. The Old Lighthouse is a popular visitor attraction, as is the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch steam railway which passes close by with the miniature steam train meandering along the coast to Hythe, a wonderful way to enjoy Kent’s scenery. There are two pubs on the reserve and a unique ’Fish Hut’ selling caught-on-the day fresh fish. The wonderful former smuggler’s town of Rye with its choice of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants is well worth a visit and only 10 miles away.
