About The Old Stable at Upchurch

Introduction

"The Old Stable has been thoughtfully converted to make for a wonderful Kent holiday stay on a working farm. Guests are very welcome to walk from the property over the adjoining countryside where lambs can be seen frolicking during Spring. Private fishing is also available ½ mile away over the estuary wall.\nNearby the small village of Upchurch boasts not only a general store and pub but a golf course too. The popular \\River Valley\\ golf course constructed on 120 acres of undulating parkland has testing greens offering golfers a truly challenging round. The clubhouse has an excellent restaurant and heated indoor swimming pool available to families of golfers playing the course.\nThe property is in an excellent location for touring the area with easy connection to the M2 motorway providing access to a myriad of local attractions and activities. For those who enjoy the sea take a leisurely drive along the North Kent coastline where you will find the diverse seaside towns nearby. Alternatively London and all it has too offer is only 55 minutes away by train from nearby Rainham for those visitors looking for a real change of pace."

Purchase was easy and queries answered promptly. Lovely cottage, in very good condition. The owners are fantastic, very friendly letting our children use the swing in their garden and play football. Fresh eggs, milk and coffee waiting when we got there.

Good, quick communication throughout. My one small complaint, however, was that I explicitly asked would there be toilet rolls provided, was told yes and arrived to find less than half a roll. Not a big deal but annoying since I’d gone to the supermarket to buy everything we needed beforehand. No other problems with Mulberry at all and had a great stay. Fab cottage, comfy beds, cosy decor, great location and on a lovely street. Perfect for a short break.

We had to contact the office three times to find out key details. Was told they would call us back but they didn’t I had to chase for the information. It was a meet and greet for the keys and that information should have been added to the bottom of the direction sheet. Lovely cottage very friendly and welcoming owners. The sun shone all week!
