About Primrose

Introduction

"Primrose offers modern contemporary living space combined with the cosiness and comfort of a country retreat. The barn has an open plan feel with exposed beams a chic wall mounted gas fire and full glass doors that all open onto a small decked garden - perfect for summer BBQs or socialising after a busy day exploring the surrounding Mendip Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom one of these being en suite and there is plenty of room outside as the barn is set on a small private estate with the additional attraction of some very nosey alpacas. A paddock can even be provided for visiting horses with more details on stabling available on request.\nPrimrose is part of a recently renovated farm complex and can be booked with Marigold ref M555019 for larger family gatherings. Primrose is approached via a secluded and stunning tree-lined private drive. Although the barn is tucked away in the beautiful and relaxing Somerset countryside it is in fact only two miles from the historic market town of Shepton Mallet five miles from the beautiful medieval city of Wells and within ten minutes drive to Bath park and ride service. In addition it is close to the Royal Bath and West Showground and is also conveniently located for the world-famous Glastonbury music festival. This really is a perfect location to visit everything that is on offer in the great area of the south west of England. "

Mulberry Cottages website easy to use, clear instructions and I would definitely use again. Lovely cottage in a peaceful part of Somerset. Close to lots of interesting places to visit, and glorious walks suitable for all the family.

A great looking cottage at a great location, very quiet and secluded but unfortunately the property was let down by not being cleaned properly and a few fixtures and fittings weren’t quite up to scratch. The cottage wasn’t cleaned properly after the last guests left as we found 2 pairs of old socks under the bed along with cobwebs hanging in the kitchen and living room. We had a leaky toilet and a couple of light fittings that didn’t work too, but we managed to fix these ourselves. The BBQ was rusty and broken so called the owner to get a replacement, but was dissapointed that this hadn’t been sorted before our arrival. We also informed him about the toilet and light issue. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cottage but felt there wasn’t quite the full care and attention to detail you would expect from a property like this. Fairly good value for money but due to the tiny niggles we experienced with the property I have to rate it down as not being quite up to scratch for the price.

Dienstverlening was prima.

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped with quality fittings and furnishing. Our only reservations would be a lack of cupboard space for us to put provisions and the size of the fridge freezer. The owners were exceptionally helpful.

The information regarding the property was not in line with the details provided in he cottage - no mention of using bottled water - no mention that the cottages are not named but are numbered, therefore looking for The Sycamores was fruitless. Well designed and a smart layout - the weekend was interrupted by the owners children with water pistols insisting on using the patio and also deciding that knocking on the front door and holding the pistols to me was funny. Boys can be a handful but they should not run around the guest cottages un supervised.

Mulberry cottages service was good but it would be good if there were provision for disabled or indication in their brochure. Most beneficial would be grab rails in bathrooms and showers. Sycamores was very nice and quiet. It was comfortable but it would have been excellent if it had grab rails for the shower.
