The cottage overlooks a wide picturesque valley in the Surrey Hills with access to the owners’ huge garden and footpaths beyond. There are abundant walking opportunities and this is a great base to put your walking boots on and clear your head with a walk across the fields to one of the local villages and pubs.\nIf cycling is your passion there are lots of routes from the doorstep that are very popular with cyclists - indeed both the 2012 London Olympics and the Prudential RideLondon routes pass within a mile just north of Shere. Small enclosed garden with artificial grass, accessed from the conservatory. Table and chairs seating 4, charcoal BBQ. There is also access to the owners large garden when there is not a booking in the main house (by prior arrangement)
There is a swimming pool and tennis court in the grounds; the swimming pool is heated intermittently and access is limited when the main house is booked, but please enquire with the owner once booked who can advise further. One hours’ use of the tennis court per day is included, more by arrangement

    2 dogs are allowed, however please note that guests at the main house next door may also be bringing pets.

    Tor Hatch Cottage has a small enclosed garden which is dedicated for your use; when you take your dog beyond this border please ensure it is kept on a lead. If you have any questions then please call the booking team who will be able to assist
     
    1 cot (please bring bedding) and 1 high chair available
     
    This property does not accept stag or hen parties
     
    Please note that the cottage is adjacent to the main house, which may also have other guests staying at the same time
     
    There is a swimming pool in the grounds of the main house; please ensure children are supervised at all times,

    There is an additional charge for the use of the swimming pool

    The swimming pool is heated 1st May - 30th September (by arrangement with the owner)

    What makes this area so special

    The pretty village of Shere, famous as a film location, is half a mile up the road. There are several local pubs including The William Bray and The White Horse, the gin distillery Silent Pool, and Albury Vineyard all within a couple of miles. Guildford, Dorking, Horsham, Crawley and Gatwick airport are within 15-30 minutes drive, and for a thrilling day out for the family, Chessington World of Adventures is within easy reach by car just 20 miles away.
