The ground floor has a formal dining room an open plan kitchen a cosy study and an impressively large and light sitting room which is in the original 16th century part of the house. Beautiful stained glass windows look out onto the garden.Upstairs are four bedrooms two of which have ensuite bathrooms.\nMany of the original features are maintained including some exposed beams in the top floor twin room so guests need to be careful to duck their heads\nOutside the wraparound walled garden has a large paved patio and a lawn area. There is garden furniture for 8 guests. The side gate leads to an allocated parking space for one car.\nWesterhall House is located in historic Palace Street also called the King’s Mile. It is surrounded by independent shops art galleries restaurants cafes public houses. The historic City of Canterbury is easy to explore on foot, with a wealth of heritage sites and museums, and lots of independent shops, restaurants and pubs.
Westerhall House is truly magical place. It is full of history as well as contemporary comfort and style. Staying in the house feels like being in the very heart of the historic cathedral city. The house is tranquil and restful as well as convenient. It felt like a refuge to us as a family. We cannot recommend Westerhall House highly enough. There is nothing I would want to change.
