What makes this area so special

On the edge of Romney Marsh there are wonderful walks along the canals and on the Saxon Way. Cycling is also a must as its reasonably flat with quiet country lanes and big skies, you could even cycle to the sandy beaches of this part of Kent if you are feeling energetic. Nearby Tenterden is a charming market town and the famous Chapel Down Vineyard, open for both tours and tasting is just a few miles away. Tenterden also has its own steam train that follows a wonderful scenic route to moated Bodiam Castle. Gastro pubs abound and the fish as you head towards the coast is excellent both from fishermen on the beach and from the many restaurants that are dotted throughout the area.
