Things to Do in the Cotswolds

Find beautiful famous cities such as Bath, well-known beautiful Regency towns like Cheltenham and fabulous villages tucked into the countryside. Cheltenham is one of our favourite towns, offering award winning gardens as well as an impressive range of stylish shops and restaurants. Don’t forget the Cheltenham Races, a great day out! Nearby Gloucester is steeped in history and hundreds of delightful villages such Burford and Castle Combe are perfect for exploring.

It may be famed for its gentle beauty and tranquillity, but Cotswold holiday cottages offer an amazing array of activities to enjoy too. The Cotswolds Way is the best way to get your bearings, not to mention appreciate all the natural beauty that surrounds you. If you’d rather travel in style then take a steam train ride on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, enjoying beautiful stops along the way.

If you visit Gloucester then be sure to stop off at the city’s stunning cathedral. Located near the River Severn, it was originally constructed in the 7th Century and offers a wonderful window into the past. For a woodland wander visit Westonbirt or Batsford Arboretums. Both offer amazing experiences of Britain’s natural beauty and breath-taking views too.

For a more vibrant experience of the Cotswolds’ heritage, take a trip to Bath where you will find amazing heritage and contemporary attractions and activities. Visit the Roman Baths before hitting the high street or enjoying some delicious cuisine in its fantastic eateries. After a hard day exploring the region there is nothing better than returning to one of our luxury cottages to rent in the Cotswolds.
